Abstract

Penelitian ini mebahas tentang pengembangan instrumen penilaian berpikir kritis berbasis close reading untuk kemampuan membaca siswa di Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keterampilan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran abad 21, dimana informasi menjadi kunci penting. Namun, kemampuan membaca dan berpikir kritis siswa Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode desain dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian D&D tipe 1 yaitu Product &Tool Research, yang berfokus pada perancangan dan pengembangan suatu produk. Meliputi 4 tahapan yaitu analysis/Analisis, design/desain, development/pengembangan, try out and evaluation/ uji coba dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui , pedoman wawancara, catatan lapangan, angket, serta tes tulis berupa soal pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian ini melibatkan 1 guru dan 26 siswa kelas V SDN 1 Cililin, serta 10 orang guru sebagai client. Hasil penilaian validasi ahli bahasa menunjukan persentase 81,81% dengan kualifikasi “Sangat Baik”, dan validasi instrumen penilaian menunjukan persentase 88,64% dengan kualifikasi “Sangat baik”. Hasil dari Uji Wilcoxon yang dilakukan mendapatkan nilai 0,01 < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh penggunaan instrumen penilaian. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian berpikir kritis berbasis close reading yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang tinggi dan terbukti memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca siswa. Respon pengguna terhadap instrumen ini juga positif, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen ini layak digunakan untuk membantu guru dalam melakukan penilaian membaca serta meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran membaca dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. ----------- This study discusses the development of critical thinking assessment instruments based on close reading for students' reading skills in elementary schools. This research is motivated by the importance of critical thinking skills in 21st century learning, where information is key. However, Indonesian students' reading and critical thinking skills are still low. This research uses a design and development method using D&D type 1 research design, namely Product & Tool Research, which focuses on designing and developing a product. Data collection techniques were carried out through interview guidelines, field notes, questionnaires, and written tests in the form of pretest and postest questions. The results of the linguist validation assessment showed a percentage of 81.81% with the qualification “Very Good”, and the validation of the assessment instrument showed a percentage of 88.64% with the qualification “Very Good”. The results of the Wilcoxon Test conducted obtained a value of 0.01 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of using the assessment instrument. The research shows that the close reading-based critical thinking assessment instrument developed has high validity and is proven to have a significant effect on improving students' reading skills. The user response to this instrument is also positive, so it can be concluded that this instrument is feasible to use to assist teachers in conducting reading assessments and improving the quality of reading learning and students' critical thinking skills.
