Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa sekolah dasar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dan guru serta peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan aplikasi Let’s Read. Berdasarkan hasil data pra siklus bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V SDN Blendung masih terbilang rendah. Maka dari itu, peneliti melakukan tindakan dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan aplikasi Let’s Read. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart sebanyak 2 siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Blendung. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa setelah diterapkannya model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan aplikasi Let’s Read yang diperoleh dari hasil aktivitas siswa dan guru serta hasil belajar siswa. Pada hasil aktivitas siswa dan guru di siklus I memperoleh nilai keberhasilan di angka 93,75% dan siklus II di angka 100% dengan kategori sangat baik. Rata- rata hasil tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V pada pra siklus sebesar 34,22 tanpa ada siswa yang tuntas. Siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 63,11 dengan siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 7 siswa dan memperoleh persentase keberhasilan belajar di angka 53,33%. Pada siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata di angka 80 dengan siswa yang tuntas berjumlah 13 siswa dan memperoleh persentase keberhasilan belajar di angka 86%. Berdasarkan hasil akhir pada siklus II bahwa penerapan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berbantuan aplikasi Let’s Read dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar. ----- This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of students and teachers as well as improving reading comprehension skills using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by the Let's Read application. Based on the results of pre-cycle data that the reading comprehension skills of grade V students of SDN Blendung are still fairly low. Therefore, researchers took action by applying the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by the Let's Read application. This research was conducted using classroom action research method using Kemmis and Mc. Taggart design for 2 cycles. The research was conducted at SD Negeri Blendung. The results of this study showed an increase in students' reading comprehension skills after the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by Let's Read application obtained from the results of student and teacher activities and student learning outcomes. In the results of student and teacher activities in cycle I obtained a success value of 93.75% and cycle II at 100% with a very good category. The average test results of reading comprehension skills of grade V students in the pre-cycle amounted to 34.22 without any students being complete. Cycle I obtained an average score of 63.11 with 7 students who were complete and obtained a percentage of learning success at 53.33%. In cycle II, the average score was 80 with 13 complete students and obtained a percentage of learning success at 86%. Based on the final results in cycle II, the application of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model assisted by the Let's Read application can improve the reading comprehension skills of elementary school students.
