Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang mampunya siswa memanfaatkan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran. Faktor penyebab masalah tersebut adalah kurangnya ketersediaan bahan ajar berisi materi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi serta belum memadainya fasilitas (teknologi digital). Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan bahan ajar interaktif dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, peneliti mengembangkan bahan ajar digital materi perkembangan teknologi komunikasi berbasis model pembelajaran social inquiry untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa kelas III SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah D&D dengan model pengembangan PPE dari Richey & Klein meliputi tahapan planning, production, dan evaluation. Partisipan yang terlibat, di antaranya dosen ahli materi dan dosen ahli media dari Universitas Negeri Program Studi PGSD di Bandung serta guru ahli pembelajaran dan 20 siswa kelas III dari SD Negeri di Kecamatan Soreang. Instrumen penelitian meliputi work log, pedoman wawancara, angket, dan tes. Desain awal bahan ajar digital berbasis model pembelajaran social inquiry dirancang berdasarkan KD 3.6 dan 4.6 pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang terpadu dengan IPS, dengan materi pembelajaran dalam Tema 7 Subtema 3 tentang Perkembangan Teknologi Komunikasi dan tambahan materi pendukung tentang literasi digital yang disesuaikan bersifat praktis bagi siswa. Bahan ajar digital yang telah dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh para ahli. Secara keseluruhan, validasi bahan ajar digital ini sangat baik. Peningkatan literasi digital siswa kelas III melalui bahan ajar digital ini diperoleh berdasarkan hasil N-Gain terhadap perbedaan hasil pre-test dan post-test siswa, hasilnya menunjukkan belum mencapai tingkat yang diharapkan karena beberapa faktor salah satunya siswa belum terbiasa belajar dengan menggunakan chromebook. This research is motivated by the limited ability of students to utilize digital technology in learning. The contributing factors to this issue include the insufficient availability of teaching materials containing information technology and communication content as well as inadequate facilities. One possible solution is the implementation of interactive teaching materials. Therefore, the researcher developed digital teaching materials on the subject of the development of communication technology based on the social inquiry learning model to enhance the digital literacy of third-grade elementary school students. The research method employed is D&D with the PPE development model by Richey & Klein. Participants included subject matter experts and media experts from the State University PGSD Program in Bandung, as well as expert learning teachers and 20 third-grade students from State Elementary Schools in Soreang. The initial design of the digital teaching materials based on the social inquiry learning model was created based on the curriculum of Indonesian Language integrated with Social Studies, with learning materials in Theme 7 Subtheme 3 on the Development of Communication Technology and additional supporting materials on practical digital literacy for students. The developed digital teaching materials were then validated by experts, and overall, the validation of these materials was deemed excellent. The improvement in the digital literacy of third-grade students through these digital teaching materials was assessed based on the N-Gain results. The findings indicate that the expected level has not been reached, possibly due to factors such as students not being accustomed to learning using Chromebooks.
