Abstract
Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena peningkatan penggunaan media sosial TikTok pasca pandemi covid-19 yang melibatkan peserta didik khususnya di Kota Mataram. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang peranan media sosial TikTok dalam pengimplementasian sikap sosial toleransi peserta didik pasca pandemi covid-19, dilihat dari motif penggunaan, dampak penggunaan dan bentuk-bentuk sikap toleransi peserta didik pengguna TikTok. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Informan penelitian dipilih memenggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Informan dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik, guru wali kelas dan guru BK. Untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian ini, observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara digunakan. Analisis interaktif digunakan untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini, yang mencakup pengurangan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Metode triangulasi digunakan untuk menguji validitas data penelitian ini. Studi ini menemukan bahwa; (1) Motif penggunaan Tiktok yaitu motif informasi, motif identitas pribadi, interaksi sosial dan motif hiburan; (2) Dampak penggunaan TikTok yakni memudahkan peserta didik dalam berinteraksi, memudahkan peserta didik dalam berekspresi, penyebaran informasi berlangsung secara cepat, peserta didik menjadi kecanduan, rentan terhadap pengaruh buruk, masalah privasi dan menimbulkan konflik; (3) Bentuk-bentuk sikap sosial toleransi peserta didik pengguna TikTok yaitu menghargai perbedaan agama, menghargai perbedaan suku dan menghargai perbedaan pendapat. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman tentang penggunaan media sosial TikTok dan bagaimana meningkatkan pemahaman peranan media sosial TikTok terhadap sikap sosial toleransi peserta didik. This research is based on the phenomenon of increasing use of TikTok social media after the Covid-19 pandemic involving students, especially in Mataram City. The aim of this research is to find out in depth about the role of social media TikTok in implementing students' social attitudes of tolerance after the Covid-19 pandemic, seen from the motives, the impact and the forms of tolerance of students using TikTok. This research method uses a case study with a qualitative approach. The research informants are students, homeroom teacher and guidance counselor. Informants were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection in this research was carried out by observation, documentation and in-depth interviews. This research's data analysis technique uses interactive analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data in this study used triangulation techniques. The results of this research are; (1) The motives for using TikTok are information motives, personal identity motives, social interaction and diversion motives; (2) The impact of using TikTok is makes it easier for students to interact, makes it easier for students to express themselves, dissemination of information occurs quickly, students become addicted, vulnerable to bad influences, privacy problems and cause conflict; (3) Forms of social attitudes of tolerance among students who use TikTok, namely respecting religious differences, respecting ethnic differences and respecting differences of opinion. The recommendation from this research is to increase understanding of the use of TikTok social media and how to increase understanding of the role of TikTok social media on students' social attitudes of tolerance.
