Abstract

Skripsi ini memiliki judul “Penggunaan Gadget Sebagai Sumber Literasi Informasi Dalam Pembelajaran IPS (Studi Deskriptif Kualitatif Di SMPN 6 Bandung)”. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan adanya fenomena sosial phubbing atau mabok gadget, dimana fenomena ini sudah merambah ke semua kalangan termasuk siswa. Semenjak pandemi Covid, penggunaan teknologi terkhusus gadget sudah menjadi unsur penting dalam pembelajaran. Keterampilan literasi informasi adalah salah satu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan dalam abad 21 ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam tentang bagaimana pemanfaatan gadget sebagai sumber literasi informasi dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 6 Bandung. Metode studi deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru IPS di SMPN 6 Bandung sudah memaksimalkan penggunaan gadget dalam pembelajaran, dan sudah menerapkan penggunaan gadget dalam meningkatkan literasi informasi dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Gadget, literasi informasi, pembelajaran IPS. This thesis has the title “The Use of Gadgets as a Source of Information Literacy in Social Studies Learning (Descriptive Qualitative Study at SMPN 6 Bandung)”. This research is motivated by the social phenomenon of phubbing or gadget addiction, where this phenomenon has penetrated all circles including students. Since the Covid pandemic, the use of technology, especially gadgets, has become an important element in learning. Information literacy skills are one of the skills needed in the 21st century. This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of how the utilization of gadgets as a source of information literacy in social studies learning at SMPN 6 Bandung. Qualitative descriptive study method was used to collect data through observation, interview, and analysis of related documents. The results showed that social studies teachers at SMPN 6 Bandung have maximized the use of gadgets in learning, and have implemented the use of gadgets in improving information literacy in learning.
