Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesulitan siswa SMPN Negeri 3 Rancaekek dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi terutama dalam menjelaskan tokoh secara detail; pembentukan alur cerita; pembentukan ide cerita. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi melalui model Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Canva pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Rancaekek. Metode yang diterapkan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Perencanaan pembelajaran dilakukan sebanyak empat kali dalam tiga siklus pembelajaran dengan masing-masing pertemuan diisi kegiatan kelompok dan individu. Pada siklus 1, pembelajaran dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan yang berbeda. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-H SMPN 3 Rancaekek yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Data penelitian berupa hasil wawancara, hasil observasi, hasil tes kemampuan pemahaman, hasil tes kemampuan menulis, dan hasil angket siswa. Data tersebut dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi melalui model pembelajaran pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Canva pada setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan. Setelah siklus 1 kemampuan siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam menggambarkan kejadian diluar nalar. Pada siklus 2 kemampuan siswa mengalami peningkatan dalam menggarap amanat dan menggarap rangkaian cerita. Setelah siklus ke-3 semua kemampuan siswa memenuhi semua kriteria. Kemampuan yang meningkat terutama dalam hal menggarap menggarap tema, menggarap pelaku dan penokohan, menggarap rangkaian cerita, serta cerita sudah mengandung unsur magis. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih antusias dan aktif dalam pembelajaran; siswa menjadi lebih mudah untuk menulis dan memahami materi. Nilai rata-rata yang semula berasal 59,1 meningkat menjadi sebesar 88,6 pada siklus ke-3. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan aplikasi Canva dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita fantasi siswa. This research was motivated by the difficulties of students at SMPN 3 Rancaekek in learning to write fantasy stories, especially in explaining characters in detail; formation of storyline; formation of story ideas. The aim of this research is to describe the improvement in the ability to write fantasy stories through the Picture and Picture model assisted by the Canva application for class VII students at SMPN 3 Rancaekek. The method applied is Classroom Action Research. Learning planning is carried out four times in three learning cycles with each meeting filled with group and individual activities. In cycle 1, learning was carried out in two different meetings. The research subjects were 30 students in class VII-H SMPN 3 Rancaekek. Research data consists of interview results, observation results, comprehension ability test results, writing ability test results, and student questionnaire results. The data was analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research show that the ability to write fantasy stories through the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by the Canva application has increased in each cycle. After cycle 1, students' abilities increased in describing events beyond reason. In cycle 2, students' abilities increased in working on mandates and working on story sequences. After the 3rd cycle all students' abilities met all the criteria. Skills have increased, especially in terms of working on themes, working on actors and characterizations, working on story sequences, and stories that contain magical elements. Apart from that, students become more enthusiastic and active in learning; students find it easier to write and understand the material. The average value which originally came from 59.1 increased to 88.6 in the 3rd cycle. This shows that the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by the Canva application can help improve students' ability to write fantasy stories.
