Abstract

UPAYA MENGATASI SILENCE CULTURE MENGGUNAKAN MODEL TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kelas VIII-C MTsN 09 Majalengka) Wina Hidayah Skripsi Program Studi Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Fakultas Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh salah satu permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas yaitu silence culture atau budaya diam pada peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, Guru mengupayakan proses pembelajaran yang mengasyikan dan bermakna (meaningful learning) sebagai upaya untuk menagatasi silence culture dalam pembelajaran IPS pada peserta didik kelas VIII-C MTsN 09 Majalengka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan model team games tournament (TGT) sebagai cara untuk mengatasi silence culture dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VIII-C. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan konsep desain spiral dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, catatan lapangan, wawancara dan angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif terhadap data berupa catatan lapangan dan lembar observasi, serta perhitungan data hasil penilaian sikap. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VIII-C MTsN 09 Majalengka sebanyak 4 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dengan penerapan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) dapat mengatasi Silent Culture siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. Pertumbuhan Aactive Culture siswa pada setiap siklus mengalami peningkatan yang cukup pesat. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwasannya penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) dalam mengatasi Silent Culture tercapai. Penggunaan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pembiasaan proses belajar siswa, untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih baik. Kata Kunci: Silence Culture, Team Games Tournament, Pembelajaran IPS EFFORTS TO OVERCOME SILENCE CULTURE USING THE TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) MODEL IN LEARNING IPS (Class Action Research at VIII C MTsN 09 Majalengka) ABSTRACT This research is motivated by one of the problems that occurs in the classroom, namely silence culture or a culture of silence among students. Therefore, the teacher strives for an exciting and meaningful learning process (meaningful learning) as an effort to overcome the culture of silence in social studies learning for students in class VIII-C MTsN 09 Majalengka. The aim of this research is to determine the use of the team games tournament (TGT) model as a way to overcome the culture of silence in social studies learning in class VIII-C. This research uses a type of classroom action research with the spiral design concept from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, field notes, interviews, and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is a descriptive analysis technique for data in the form of field notes and observation sheets, as well as calculating data from attitude assessment results. This research was conducted in class VIII-C MTsN 09 Majalengka for 4 cycles. The research results show that implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model can overcome students' Silent Culture in social studies learning. The growth of students' Active Culture in each cycle has increased quite rapidly. So it can be concluded that the implementation of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in overcoming Silent Culture has been achieved. The use of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model can be used to familiarize students' learning processes, to improve the quality of learning.
