Abstract

Lingkungan sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan kepribadian siswa, salah satunya self-acceptance atau penerimaan diri. Tetapi masih banyak sekolah yang belum memiliki lingkungan sekolah yang baik untuk mendukung self- acceptance siswa. Lingkungan sekolah yang baik dan mendukung dapat memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap self-acceptance siswa. Namun, masih sedikit penelitian yang secara khusus mengkaji pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap self-acceptance siswa sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh lingkungan sekolah terhadap tingkat self-acceptance siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional melalui kuisioner dan pedoman wawancara. Kuesioner dibagikan kepada siswa kelas tinggi yakni kelas IV, V dan VI karena memiliki karakteristik yang cocok dengan penelitian. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru kelas guna mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut dari kondisi lingkungan dan self acceptance siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kondisi lingkungan sekolah di SDN Sukamantri tidak terlalu parah namun tetap memerlukan perhatian atau penanganan yang sesuai, (2) siswa kelas IV, V, VI memiliki self- acceptance yang cukup baik namun tetap perlu ditingkatkan, (3) lingkungan sekolah memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap selfacceptance siswa, Pengaruh atau sumbangan efektif lingkungan sekolah terhadap self acceptance sebesar 22.6%. Dukungan positif penting untuk diberikan kepada siswa. Sekolah, orang tua, dan guru perlu bekerja sama untuk memberikan dukungan positif yang maksimal terhadap siswa guna membentuk self -acceptance yang baik pada siswa. ----------- The school environment plays a crucial role in shaping the character and personality of students, including fostering self-acceptance. However, many schools still lack a supportive environment that encourages self-acceptance among students. A positive and supportive school environment can have a significant influence on students' self-acceptance. Yet, there is limited research specifically examining the impact of the school environment on self-acceptance among elementary school students. Therefore, this study aims to explore the influence of the school environment on the level of self-acceptance among elementary school students.The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach using questionnaires and interview guidelines. The questionnaires were distributed to upper-grade students, namely grades IV, V, and VI, as they exhibit characteristics suitable for the research. Interviews were conducted with class teachers to obtain further information about the environmental conditions and students' selfacceptance.The research findings indicate that (1) the school environment at SDN Sukamantri is not severely problematic but still requires appropriate attention or intervention, (2) students in grades IV, V, VI exhibit fairly good self-acceptance but still need improvement, and (3) the school environment has a significant influence on students' self-acceptance. The effective contribution of the school environment to self-acceptance is 22.6%. Positive support is crucial to provide to students. Schools, parents, and teachers need to collaborate to provide maximum positive support to students in order to cultivate good self-acceptance among them.
