Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya pemahaman mendalam sebagai keterampilan di abad ke-21 terutamana dengan kemajuan teknologi dan ledakan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian design dan development (D&D) dengan fokus pada perancangan, pengembangan, dan evaluasi produk. Hasil penelitian menujukkan adanya peningkatan pada nilai pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan untuk melihat keefektifan penggunaan buku cerita bergambar berbasis digital. Nilai rata-rata pre-test yaitu 63,96 dan rata-rata nilai post-test yaitu 83,75. Selain itu, nilai minimum pre-test yaitu 40 sedangkan nilai minimum post-test yaitu 54 dan nilai maksimal pre-test dan post-test sama, yaitu 95. Adapun hasil uji Wilcoxon pada nilai pre-test dan post-test menunjukan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) berjumlah 0,000. Karena nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara hasil nilai pre-test dan post-test, sehingga dapat dikatakan penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar berbasis digital memilki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa pada materi teks fiksi -------------- This research is motivated by the need for deep understanding as a skill in the 21st century, especially with technological advances and information explosions. This study aims to help improve the reading comprehension of grade IV elementary school students. This research uses design and development (D&D) research methods with a focus on product design, development, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in pre-test and post-test scores conducted to see the effectiveness of using digital-based picture storybooks. The average pre-test score was 63.96 and the average post-test score was 83.75. In addition, the minimum pre-test score is 40 while the minimum post-test score is 54 and the maximum pre-test and posttest scores are the same, which is 95. The Wilcoxon test results on pre-test and post-test values show Asymp values. Sig. (2-tailed) amounts to 0.000. Because of the value of Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the results of pre-test and post-test scores, so it can be said that the use of digital-based picture book media has an influence on students' reading comprehension ability on fictional text material.
