Abstract
Pengujian Quality of Service menghasilkan throughput 48,6-49,6 Kbps, packet loss 0%, dan latency 42,07-44,13 m/s. --- A diploma is a document given to someone who has completed formal education, generally used to get a job and as an identity in the eyes of society. Many people consider a diploma to be meaningful or essential, so that diplomas are often faked which violate a person's Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). In Indonesia, there is currently a National Diploma Numbering (PIN) system and an Online Diploma Verification System (SIVIL), however the storage of the diploma database is still centralized which still allows illegal hacking. The aim of this research is to overcome the problem of diploma forgery and tracking by utilizing Blockchain technology, each printed NFT diploma acts as a digital asset that represents ownership and academic credentials, and can be tracked without the need to face traditional bureaucratic obstacles. Apart from that, it aims to evaluate the storage performance of the Polygon network Blockchain, comparing it with Ethereum layer-1. Smart contract cost tests show Polygon transaction fees are only 2.26% of Ethereum. Quality of Service testing resulted in throughput of 48.6-49.6 Kbps, packet loss of 0%, and latency of 42.07-44.13 m/s. The results show the potential for better cost efficiency and performance on the Polygon network compared to Ethereum.
