Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya permasalahan dalam proses belajar mengajar, terutama dalam kemampuan literasi membaca pemahaman; siswa sulit fokus untuk membaca; siswa kurang memahami bacaan; penggunaan model pembelajaran membaca pemahaman kurang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan literasi membaca pemahaman melalui model Inquiry Based Learning pada siswa kelas VI SD Windu Putra. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas desain Kemmis dan McTaggart. Perencanaan pembelajaran dilakukan sebanyak dua kali dalam dua siklus tindakan dengan merencanakan kegiatan pembelajaran sesuai prinsip model pembelajaran Inquiry Based Learning. Pada siklus 1, pembelajaran dilakukan dalam dua pertemuan dengan masing-masing pertemuan diisi kegiatan kelompok dan individu yang didasarkan pada model Inquiry Based Learning dengan strategi inkuiri terstruktur. Pada siklus 2, pembelajaran dilakukan dengan pendalaman materi pada satu pertemuan dan kegiatan kelompok dan individu dalam satu pertemuan yang didasarkan pada model Inquiry Based Learning dan strategi inkuiri terbimbing. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD Windu Putra yang berjumlah 16 siswa. Data penelitian berupa hasil wawancara, hasil observasi, hasil tes kemampuan literasi membaca pemahaman siswa, hasil angket, dan dokumentasi. Data tersebut kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh setelah mengimplementasikan tindakan yaitu siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan antusias terhadap pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan kemampuan literasi membaca pemahaman siswa yang ditunjukkan melalui hasil tes literasi kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Pada siklus 1 pertemuan ke-1, diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 60,12. Pada siklus 1 pertemuan ke-2, diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 70,81. Pada siklus 2 pertemuan ke-2, diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 83,33. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model Inquiry Based Learning dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi membaca pemahaman siswa.This research is based on the existence of problems in the teaching and learning process, especially in reading comprehension literacy skills; students find it difficult to focus on reading; students lack understanding of reading; the use of reading comprehension learning models is less effective. This research aims to describe the improvement of reading comprehension literacy skills through the Inquiry Based Learning model in grade VI students of Windu Putra Elementary School. This research uses the method of Classroom Action Research of Kemmis and McTaggart design. Learning planning was carried out twice in two cycles of action by planning learning activities according to the principles of the Inquiry Based Learning model. In cycle 1, learning was conducted in two meetings with each meeting filled with group and individual activities based on the Inquiry Based Learning model with structured inquiry strategies. In cycle 2, learning was carried out with material deepening in one meeting and group and individual activities in one meeting based on the Inquiry Based Learning model and guided inquiry strategy. The research subjects were VI grade students of Windu Putra Elementary School totaling 16 students. The research data were in the form of interview results, observation results, student reading comprehension literacy test results, questionnaire results, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using qualitative description analysis. The results of the research obtained after implementing the action were that students became more active and enthusiastic about learning to read comprehension of explanatory texts. In addition, there was an increase in students' reading comprehension literacy skills as shown through the results of the reading comprehension literacy test. In cycle 1, the 1st meeting, the average student score was 60.12. In cycle 1, the 2nd meeting, the average score was 70.81. In cycle 2, the 2nd meeting, the average score was 83.33. This shows that the Inquiry Based Learning model can help improve students' reading comprehension literacy skills.
