Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah kondisi deskripsi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, kompetensi guru dan kinerja guru, serta besaran pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri se-Kecamatan Sukasari. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang didukung dengan angket sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Jumlah dari objek penelitian yaitu berjumlah 100 guru. Hasil Penelitian mendeskripsikan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, kompetensi guru dan kinerja guru sudah sangat tinggi. Kepemimpinan transformasional dan Kompetensi Guru berpengaruh positif tetapi tidak signifikan dan berkontribusi sebesar 35,9% terhadap kinerja guru sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Rekomendasi yang diajukan adalah lembaga pendidikan dan pihak sekolah dapat menggunakan hasil penelitian ini sebagai landasan untuk mengevaluasi dan meningkatkan efektivitas kepemimpinan transformasional, seperti memberikan inspirasi, motivasi, dan perhatian terhadap bawahannya, serta memastikan penerapan standar etika kerja yang baik dan benar, diharapkan kinerja guru dapat meningkat secara keseluruhan. Kompetensi yang mumpuni, termasuk dalam peningkatan dari kinerja guru itu sendiri. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memperdalam variabel-variabel lain yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kinerja guru. This research is motivated by the issues related to the description of the transformational leadership of the school principal, teacher competencies, and teacher performance, as well as the magnitude of the influence of the school principal's leadership and teacher competencies on teacher performance at the State Junior High Schools in the Sukasari Subdistrict. The method used is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach supported by a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The total number of research subjects is 100 teachers. The research results describe that the leadership of the school principal, teacher competencies, and teacher performance are already very high. Transformational leadership and teacher competencies have a positive but not significant effect, contributing to 35.9% of teacher performance, while the rest is influenced by other variables. Recommendations put forward suggest that educational institutions and schools can use the results of this research as a basis for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of transformational leadership, such as providing inspiration, motivation, and attention to subordinates, as well as ensuring the implementation of good and proper work ethics. It is hoped that teacher performance can improve overall. Competencies that are proficient, including in the enhancement of teacher performance itself. For further research, exploration and deepening of other potential variables that may affect teacher performance can be conducted.
