Abstract

Sistem Tata Surya merupakan salah satu materi pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam yang dipelajari mulai dari jenjang Sekolah Dasar. Pembelajaran IPA yang abstrak menyebabkan anak kesulitan dalam memahami materi. Penggunaan media dalam belajar dapat merubah pembelajaran yang abstrak menjadi kongkret. Di SDN 2 Karangsari Garut penggunaan media pembelajaran masih terbatas kit dan video, oleh karena itu perlu penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif seperti game agar dapat menarik perhatian siswa sehingga pembelajaran akan lebih bermakna. Mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti merancang game Space Trace sebagai media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) versi Ramadhan & Widyani yang melalui enam tahapan yaitu inisiasi (initiation), pra produksi (pre-production), produksi (production), pengujian (testing), beta (beta), dan rilis (release). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang game Space Trace serta mengetahui uji kelayakan game. Penelitian menghasilkan game Space Trace yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif pada materi sistem tata surya di SDN 2 Karangsari Garut. Setelah dilakukan pengujian alpha dan beta, game Space Trace mendapatkan nilai sebesar 97,33% untuk uji validasi materi, 82,35% pada uji validasi media dan 92,33% pada pengujian beta. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini berhasil merancang game Space Trace sebagai media pembelajaran sistem tata surya pada anak kelas VI SDN 2 Karangsari Garut. ----------- The Solar System is one of the materials in Natural Science subjects that are studied starting from elementary school level. Abstract science learning causes children difficulty in understanding the material. The use of media in learning can change abstract learning to concrete. At SDN 2 Karangsari Garut, the use of learning media is still limited to kits and videos, therefore it is necessary to use interactive learning media such as games to attract students' attention so that learning will be more meaningful. Overcoming these problems, researchers designed the Space Trace game as a learning media using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method by Ramadhan & Widyani which goes through six stages, namely initiation, pre-production, production, testing, beta, and release. The purpose of this research is to design the Space Trace game and determine the feasibility test of the game. The research produced a Space Trace game that can be utilized as an innovative learning media on solar system material at SDN 2 Karangsari Garut. After alpha and beta testing, the Space Trace game received a score of 97.33% for the material validation test, 82.35% in the media validation test and 92.33% in beta testing. It can be concluded that this research has succeeded in designing the Space Trace game as a learning media for the solar system in grade VI children of SDN 2 Karangsari Garut.
