Abstract
Karakter menjadi tolak ukur penilaian seseorang dan menjadi persoalan yang serius, karena saat ini rendahnya kesadaran orang tua, pendidik maupun lingkungan sekitar akan karakter seorang anak yang nantinya dapat membentuk karakter baik buruknya anak, salah satunya sopan santun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran penerapan empat kata ajaib melalui metode bercerita dan mengetahui peningkatan karakter sopan santun anak setelah penerapan empat kata ajaib melalui metode bercerita. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk memecahkan masalah yang terjadi di suatu lapangan sebagai pembuktian atau pengujian tentang kebenaran dari pengetahuan yang sudah ada. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Pelton yang memiliki 5 tahapan yaitu identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan penilaian hasil. Partisipan penelitian ini merupakan kelompok B, dengan rentang usia 5-6 tahun sebanyak 12 orang. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif melalui persentase, data dikumpulkan dari teknik penilaian observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada proses penerapan empat kata ajaib melalui metode bercerita dilakukan selama tiga siklus. Hasil dari proses pembelajaran efektif selama penggunaan media buku cerita dan karakter sopan santun anak meningkat setiap siklusnya. Dengan demikian, penerapan empat kata ajaib melalui metode bercerita dapat meningkatkan karakter sopan santun anak. -------- Character is a benchmark for someone's assessment and is a serious problem, because currently there is low awareness of parents, educators and the surrounding environment regarding a child's character which can later shape the child's good and bad character, one of which is politeness. This research aims to determine the learning process of applying the four magic words through the storytelling method and determine the improvement in children's polite character after applying the four magic words through the storytelling method. This research was carried out to solve problems that occurred in a field as proof or testing of the truth of existing knowledge. The research method used in this research is Pelton model classroom action research which has 5 stages, namely problem identification, data collection, action planning, action implementation and results assessment. The participants in this study were group B, with an age range of 5-6 years as many as 12 people. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis through percentages, data is collected from observation, interview and documentation assessment techniques. The research results show that the process of applying the four magic words through the storytelling method was carried out over three cycles. The results of the effective learning process during the use of storybook media and the child's polite character improve each cycle. Thus, the application of the four magic words through the storytelling method can improve children's polite character.
