Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesadaran akan semakin pentingnya kemampuan literasi numerasi untuk menghadapi tantangan zaman yang terus berkembang, sehingga kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa menjadi hal yang menarik untuk dikaji. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas IV Sekolah dasar pada materi bilangan. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 25 siswa kelas IV SDN Sukagalih. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menggunakan instrumen tes literasi numerasi berisi 7 soal uraian yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa yang rendah, dengan capaian tiap indikator: 1) Pada indikator literasi numerasi kesatu, skor rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa adalah 25,33, termasuk ke dalam kategori rendah; 2) Pada indikator kedua, skor rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa adalah 32,67 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori rendah; 3) Pada indikator ketiga, rata-rata skor siswa adalah 30,00 yang juga termasuk kategori rendah. Secara akumulatif, rata-rata skor siswa pada tiap indikator hanya sebesar 29,33 yang berada pada kategori rendah. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi landasan untuk merancang peningkatan pembelajaran yang berkaitan dengan literasi numerasi yang lebih efektif bagi siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar. --------- This study was motivated by the growing importance of numeracy literacy skills in facing the challenges of a constantly evolving world, making students' numeracy literacy skills a subject of interest for research. This study is a quantitative descriptive study conducted to find out and describe how the fourth-grade elementary school students' numeracy literacy skills in the subject of numbers. The subjects of this study were 25 fourth-grade students of SDN Sukagalih. Data collection was carried out through tests using a numeracy literacy test instrument containing 7 open-ended questions that have been validated. The analysis of the research data showed that students' numeracy literacy skills were low, with the achievement of each indicator: 1) In the first numeracy literacy indicator, the average score obtained by students was 25.33, included in the low category; 2) In the second indicator, the average score obtained by students was 32.67, included in the low category; 3) In the third indicator, the average score of students was 30.00, also included in the low category. In total, the average score of students on each indicator was only 29.33, which is in the low category. The findings of this study are expected to be the basis for designing more effective numeracy literacy learning for students at the elementary education level.
