Abstract

Di era digital 4.0 saat ini banyak individu kesulitan berkomunikasi dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Situasi ini menyebabkan kurangnya perhatian individu terhadap lingkungan, baik di lingkup keluarga maupun dalam masyaraka. Ketergantungan mahasiswa terhadap mobile phone disebut dengan no-mobile phone phobia (nomophobia) yang merupakan ketakutan dan kecemasan modern akibat dari perkembangan teknologi. Dengan adanya Nomophobia, mahasiswa akan lebih banyak menghabiskan waktunya untuk bermain gadget dibandingkan berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara nomophobia gadget dengan interaksi sosial mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Alasan dilaksanakan penelitian ini karena berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS UPI sering merasa takut tertinggal informasi, merasa lebih mudah jika ada gadget, merasa sendirian jika tidak melihat aktivitas orang lain di media sosial, takut kurang up to date daripada teman sebaya lainnya, Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik mengangkat isu tersebut menjadi sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam terkait pengaruh nomophobia gadget terhadap interaksi sosial mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan strategi survei. Data yang diperoleh peneliti Hasil pengolahan data dari penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai sig 0.000 < 0.05 mengandung arti bahwa adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan nomophobia gadget terhadap interaksi sosial. In the current digital 4.0 era, many individuals have difficulty communicating with their surrounding environment. This situation causes a lack of individual attention to the environment, both in the family and in society. Students' dependence on mobile phones is called no-mobile phone phobia (nomophobia), which is a modern fear and anxiety resulting from technological developments. With Nomophobia, students will spend more time playing with gadgets than interacting with the surrounding environment. The aim of this research is to determine the influence between gadget nomophobia and the social interaction of Social Sciences Education students at the Indonesian Education University. The reason for carrying out this research is because based on the data obtained, UPI Social Sciences Education students often feel afraid of missing out on information, feel it is easier if they have gadgets, feel alone if they don't see other people's activities on social media, are afraid of being less up to date than other peers, by Therefore, researchers are interested in raising this issue into a study that aims to describe in depth the influence of gadget nomophobia on the social interactions of Social Sciences Education students at the Indonesian Education University. This research uses a quantitative approach using a survey strategy. Data obtained by researchers. The results of data processing from this research show a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that there is a significant positive influence of gadget nomophobia on social interaction.
