Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman orang tua mengenai konsep bermain anak usia dini, peran orang tua dalah aktivitas bermain anak, serta tantangan yang dialami orang tua dalam aktivitas bermain anak. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif fenomenologi dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi sebagai teknik pengumpulan data serta Grounded Theory sebagai teknik analisis data. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang ibu yang memiliki anak usia dini. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan mengenai pemahaman orang tua terhadap konsep bermain anak usia dini sudah cukup baik dimana orang tua sudah mengetahui mengenai urgensi bermain, faktor bermain, dan jenis bermain. Orang tua sudah berperan aktif dalam aktivitas bermain anak dimana oranng tua berperan sebagai manager, fasilitator, teman bermain, serta observer. Tantangan yang dialami dalam aktivitas bermain anak adalah sebagai orang tua bekerja dan perkembangan teknologi. Adapun rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua diharapkan dapat lebih meningkatkan perannya dalam aktivitas bermain anak serta lebih bijaksana dalam menyikapi perkembangan teknologi. Serta pihak sekolah diharapkan dapat lebih mengembangkan pendekatan bermain sebagai kegiatan pembelajaran utama. Kata Kunci : persepsi orang tua, bermain anak usia dini This research aims to find out parents understanding through the concept of early childhood play activity, the role of parents in children’s play activity, as well as the challenges experienced by parents in children’s play activity. Method used in this research is qualitative phenomenology by using interview and observation as data collection techniques as well as Grounded Theory as a data analysis technique. Subjects in this study are two mother who had early childhood. The result of this research show the parents understanding toward the concept early childhood have been playing good enough where the parents already knowabout the urgency to play, kinds of play, and factors of play. Parents play an active role in the childhood play activities where they acted as manager, facilitator, playmate, as well as observer. The challenges experienced in the childhood play activity is parents work and technological development. The recommendations in this research is parents are expected to increase its role in the childhood play activity and wiser in addressing technological developmen. In addition, school is expected to develop play approach as a main learning activity. Keywords: parents perception, play of early childhood
