Abstract
Penelitian ini tentang sikap multikultural peserta didik yang merupakan bagian dari pendidikan multikultural yang belum terbentuk secara memadai. Pendidikan multikultural di sekolah dasar penting untuk membentuk sikap multikultural seperti toleran, solider, persatuan, bijaksana, dan kerjasama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kondisi faktual sikap multikultural, mengembangkan model pendidikan multikultural melalui inkuiri nilai, dan menguji model pendidikan multikultural melalui inkuiri nilai. Penelitian dilakukan karena kondisi faktual masyarakat di lokasi penelitian semakin kompleks dampak dari perkembangan teknologi informasi, transportasi, dan globalisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research & Development dari Borg & Gall (2007) meliputi tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan model, dan tahap uji validasi model dengan subjek penelitian melibatkan tujuh sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa strategi pendidikan multikultural yang dipraktikkan oleh guru selama ini hanya memberikan keteladanan, dan melakukan evaluasi sumatif saja. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk inkuiri nilai dalam kerangka pendidikan multikultural, RPP, LKPD, serta video animasi cerita dilema moral. Pada uji coba terbatas sikap multikultural peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh N-Gain sebesar 19,32% dengan interpretasi rendah, pada tahap uji coba luas I N-Gain sebesar 30,55% dengan interpretasi sedang, pada tahap uji coba luas II N-Gain sebesar 48,66% dengan interpretasi sedang. Selanjutnya tahap uji efektivitas model dihasilkan N-Gain sebesar 66,49% dengan interpretasi sedang, maka disimpulkan model pendidikan multikultural melalui inkuiri nilai dinyatakan cukup efektif bagi peningkatan sikap multikultural peserta didik di sekolah dasar. This research is about students' multicultural attitudes, which are part of multicultural education that has not been adequately formed. Multicultural education in elementary schools is important to form multicultural attitudes such as tolerance, solidarity, unity, wisdom, and cooperation. This research aims to examine the factual conditions of multicultural attitudes, develop a multicultural education model through value inquiry, and test the multicultural education model through value inquiry. The research was carried out because the factual conditions of the community at the research location were increasingly complex due to the impact of developments in information technology, transportation, and globalization. The research method used was Research & Development from Borg & Gall (2007), including the preliminary study stage, model development stage, and model validation test stage, with research subjects involving seven elementary schools. The results of the research reveal that the multicultural education strategies practiced by teachers so far only provide examples and only carry out summative evaluations. During the research, the product produced a value inquiry model within the framework of multicultural education, LIP, SW, and animated videos of moral dilemma stories. In the limited trial of students' multicultural attitudes in the experimental class, the N-Gain was 19.32% with a low interpretation; in the extensive trial stage I, the N-Gain was 30.55% with a medium interpretation; and in the extensive trial stage II, the N-Gain was 48.66% with a moderate interpretation. The next stage of testing the effectiveness of the model resulted in an N-Gain of 66.49% with a moderate interpretation, so it was concluded that the multicultural education model through value inquiry was quite effective for improving the multicultural attitudes of students in elementary schools.
