Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru dan efikasi diri terhadap minat menjadi guru akuntansi dan pengaruh persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru dan efikasi diri terhadap minat menjadi guru akuntansi. Teori yang dipakai adalah Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan verifikatif. Populasi penelitian merupakan mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2019-2021 dengan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 159 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proportionate random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi multipel. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji F dan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru dan efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap minat menjadi guru akuntansi dengan koefisien determinasi atau R Square sebesar 0,606 atau sama dengan 60,6 %. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 39,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti. (2) persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru berpengaruh positif terhadap minat menjadi guru akuntansi, yang berarti apabila persepsi mahasiswa tentang profesi guru positif maka akan meningkatkan minat menjadi guru akuntansi pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. (3) efikasi diri berpengaruh positif terhadap minat menjadi guru akuntansi, yang berarti apabila efikasi diri yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa tinggi maka akan meningkatkan minat yang tinggi pula untuk menjadi guru akuntansi pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This study aims to determine the description of student perceptions of the teaching profession and self-efficacy towards interest in becoming an accounting teacher and the influence of student perceptions of the teaching profession and self-efficacy on interest in becoming an accounting teacher. The theory used is Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). This study uses quantitative research methods with descriptive and verification approaches. The research population was Accounting Education students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia class of 2019-2021 with a total research sample of 159 students. The sampling technique used proportionate random sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis technique. Hypothesis testing using the F test and t test. The results showed that (1) students' perceptions of the teaching profession and self-efficacy have a positive influence on interest in becoming an accounting teacher with a coefficient of determination or R Square of 0.606 or equal to 60,6%. While the remaining 39,4% is influenced by other variables not examined. (2) students' perceptions of the teaching profession have a positive effect on interest in becoming accounting teachers, which means that if students' perceptions of the teaching profession are positive, it will increase their interest in becoming accounting teachers in Accounting Education students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. (3) self-efficacy has a positive effect on interest in becoming an accounting teacher, which means that if the self-efficacy possessed by students is high, it will also increase their high interest in becoming accounting teachers in Accounting Education students at the Indonesian Education University.
