Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor apa saja yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa kelas XII IPS di SMAN 9 Bandung dan SMA Mutiara 1 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan alat uji partial least square (PLS). Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 130 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor internal yang meliputi intelegensi, minat, motivasi dan faktor eksternal yang meliputi sekolah, keluarga memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesulitan belajar siswa. Hasil pada tahap PLS Algorithm dengan nilai loading factor yaitu faktor internal sebesar 0,773 dan faktor eksternal sebesar 0,478 yang berarti bahwa faktor internal menjadi penyebab terbesar kesulitan belajar siswa. Selain itu, berdasarkan hasil PLS Algorithm menunjukkan bahwa indikator intelegensi, minat, motivasi, keluarga, dan sekolah dinyatakan valid dan untuk indikator masyarakat dihilangkan karena dinyatakan tidak valid. Sehingga lingkungan masyarakat tidak memiliki kontribusi terhadap kesulitan belajar siswa. This study aims to analyze what factors cause learning difficulties of XII social studies students at SMAN 9 Bandung and SMA Mutiara 1 Bandung. The research method used is descriptive verification with a quantitative approach using the partial least square (PLS) test tool. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with a sample of 130 people. The results of this study indicate that internal factors including intelligence, interest, motivation and external factors including school, family contribute to student learning difficulties. The results at the PLS Algorithm stage with a loading factor value, namely internal factors of 0.773 and external factors of 0.478, which means that internal factors are the biggest cause of student learning difficulties. In addition, based on the results of PLS Algorithm, it shows that the indicators of intelligence, interest, motivation, family, and school are declared valid and the community indicator is removed because it is declared invalid. So that the community environment has no contribution to student learning difficulties.
