Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan berpkir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman. Hal ini disebabkan rendahnya minat baca siswa, masih menggunakan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru, siswa kurang dilatih untuk berpikir kritis, siswa tidak mampu untuk memberikan suatu pendapat, sulit untuk bertanya jika ada hal yang tidak mengerti. Dengan demikian, salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan memilih model pembelajaran yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis salah satunya model PBL berbantuan literacy cloud. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL berbantuan literacy cloud terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran membaca pemahaman di sekolah dasar serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model PBL berbantuan literacy cloud dengan model PBL tanpa berbantuan literacy cloud. Penelitian kuantitatif ini berjenis kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SDN 192 Ciburuy sebagai kelas kontrol berjumlah 20 siswa dan siswa kelas VI SDN 211 Babakan Priangan sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 20 siswa. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa penilaian tes dengan indikator berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) hasil analisis data pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata pretest yakni 73.03 dan nilai rata-rata posttest yakni 84.64, sehingga terdapat pengaruh pengaruh model PBL berbantuan literacy cloud terhadap berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran membaca pemahaman di sekolah dasar, selanjutnya 2) hasil analisis data posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 83.64 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 78.03 yang menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan model PBL berbantuan literacy cloud dengan model PBL tanpa berbantuan literacy cloud. ------------- This research is motivated by the low ability of students' critical thinking in reading comprehension learning. This is due to students' low interest in reading, still using a teacher-centered learning model, students are less trained to think critically, students are unable to give an opinion, it is difficult to ask if there are things that do not understand. Thus, one of the efforts that can be made is to choose a learning model that can develop critical thinking skills, one of which is the PBL model assisted by the literacy cloud. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL model assisted by the literacy cloud on students' critical thinking in reading comprehension learning in elementary schools and to determine the difference in critical thinking skills of students using the PBL model assisted by the literacy cloud with the PBL model without the help of the literacy cloud. This quantitative research is a quasi-experimental type with the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were grade VI students of SDN 192 Ciburuy as the control class totaling 20 students and grade VI students of SDN 211 Babakan Priangan as the experimental class totaling 20 students. The instrument used in this study is a test assessment with critical thinking indicators. The results showed that 1) the results of the pretest and posttest data analysis of the experimental class with the pretest average value of 73.03 and the posttest average value of 84.64, so that there was an effect of the influence of the PBL model assisted by the literacy cloud on students' critical thinking on reading comprehension learning in elementary school, then 2) the results of the posttest data analysis of the experimental class were 83.64 and the control class was 78.03 which showed that there were differences in the critical thinking ability of students using the PBL model assisted by the literacy cloud with the PBL model without the help of the literacy cloud.
