Abstract
Self awareness merupakan kemampuan individu dalam memahami, menilai, dan me-maksimalkan segala potensi yang dimiliki untuk kehidupan yang lebih baik di masa depan. Perencanaan karier memiliki kaitan yang erat dengan self awareness, individu yang mudah dalam mengenali dan memahami potensi terbaik yang dimilikinya memiliki kesadaran diri yang baik seperti memahami kekurangan, kekuatan, motivasi, apa yang di minati nya, hingga nilai dalam diri sehingga akan membantu individu dalam merencanakan karier nya dengan baik. Oleh karena itu setiap individu diharapkan mampu memiliki kesadaran diri untuk memahami potensi yang dimiliki dalam merencanakan karier. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-awareness terhadap perencanaan karier mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional dan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Non Probability Sampling (Convenience sampling), dengan 265 sampel penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala self awareness dan skala perencanaan karier. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang diolah dengan uji Spearman Rho Correlation dengan nilai koefisien 0,635 dan nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gambaran self awareness dan perencanaan karier berada pada kategori tinggi, serta terdapat hubungan yang positif dan searah antara self awareness dan perencanaan karier. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan referensi untuk pengembangan pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di Perguruan Tinggi. Self-awareness is an individual's ability to understand, assess and maximize all the potential they have for a better life in the future. Career planning is closely related to self-awareness, individuals who are easy to recognize and understand the best potential they have have good self-awareness such as understanding weaknesses, strengths, motivation, what they are interested in, and their inner values so that it will help individuals in planning their career wisely. Therefore, every individual is expected to be able to have self-awareness to understand the potential they have in planning their career. This research aims to determine the relationship between self-awareness and student career planning. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method and Non Probability Sampling (Convenience sampling), with 265 research samples. The instruments used in this research are the self-awareness scale and the career planning scale. Data was obtained through a questionnaire which was processed using the Spearman Rho Correlation test with a coefficient value of 0.635 and a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. The research results show that the profile of self-awareness and career planning is in the high category, and there is a positive and unidirectional relationship between self-awareness and career planning. The results of this research can be used as a reference for developing for implementing guidance and counseling services in higher education.
