Abstract
Santri yang belajar di sekolah sekaligus di pesantren harus memiliki self-esteem yang bagus dan terus mengembangkannya agar bisa hidup dengan nyaman di pesantren dan bisa mengikuti pembelajaran yang diberikan sekolah dan pesantren dengan baik. Jika santri diketahui berbuat salah dan melanggar peraturan, maka akan diberikan sanksi. Sanksi yang terlalu berat dan mempermalukan akan membuat santri memiliki self-esteem yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil harga diri (self-esteem) santri yang berada di pesantren Kabupaten Subang berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Pendekatan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik convenience sampling, sehingga sampel terdiri dari 259 santri pesantren di Kabupaten Subang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) sebagian besar santri di Kabupaten Subang memiliki self-esteem yang sedang; (2) santri di pesantren As-Syifa, Darussalam, dan Assyafiiyyah memiliki self-esteem sedang, sedangkan di pesantren MH Yasin santrinya memiliki self-esteem tinggi;(3) santri laki-laki sebagian besar memiliki self-esteem yang tinggi sedangkan perempuan sedang; (4) santri yang pernah dihukum di pesantren sebagian besar memiliki self-esteem yang sedang, sedangkan yang tidak pernah dihukum memiliki self-esteem tinggi; (5) aspek power berada pada kategori tinggi, aspek significance berada pada kategori sedang, aspek virtue berada pada kategori tinggi, dan aspek competence berada pada kategori sedang. Santri who study at school and at the Islamic boarding school must have good self-esteem and continue to develop it so that they can live comfortably in the Islamic boarding school and follow the learning provided by the school and Islamic boarding school well. If students are found to have made mistakes and violated the rules, they will be given sanctions. Sanctions that are too heavy and humiliating will make students have poor self-esteem. This research aims to describe the self-esteem profile of students in Islamic boarding schools in Subang Regency based on predetermined criteria. The approach taken in this research is a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Sampling was conducted using a convenience sampling technique, so the sample consisted of 259 Muslim boarding school students in Subang Regency. The research results show: (1) the majority of students in Subang Regency have moderate self-esteem; (2) the students at the As-Syifa, Darussalam, and Assyafiiyyah Islamic boarding schools have moderate self-esteem, while at the MH Yasin Islamic boarding school students have high self-esteem; (3) the majority of male students have high self-esteem while the female students have moderate ; (4) most of the students who have been punished in Islamic boarding schools have moderate self-esteem, while those who have never been punished have high self-esteem; (5) the power aspect is in the high category, the significance aspect is in the medium category, the virtue aspect is in the high category, and the competence aspect is in the medium category.
