Abstract

Fenomena eksistensi diri mahasiswa Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dari sudut pandang teori hierarki kebutuhan maslow yang mana akan di lihat 3 dari 5 teori hierarki kebutuhan maslow yaitu self esteem, love and belongings, dan self actualization. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan sample informan adalah pengguna aktif media sosial tiktok, mahasiswa aktif mahasiswa UPI 2019-2022 lokasi peneltian di universitas pendidikan indonesia pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam bagian ini self esteem di beberapa mahasiswa bisa dikatakan sangatlah eksis dan ada mahasiswa yang sama sekali tidak ada wujud eksistensi dirinya membuat tingkat self esteem rendah, mahasiswa UPI tidak terlihat dari sudut pandang love and belongings dilihat dari kecintaan dan rasa memiliki terhadap akun media sosial miliknya, self actualization tiap individu tidak terlihat bahwa eksistensi diri mahasiswa UPI Bumi siliwangi dari sudut pandang self esteem dapat di bilang terlihat dari sudut pandang love and belongings dapat di bilang kurang terlihat eksistensi diri mahasiswa UPI Bumi siliwangi dilihat dari sudut pandang self actualization berdasarkan hasil penelitian mengambil kesimpulan bahwa eksistensi diri mahasiswa UPI Bumi siliwangi dari sudut pandang self actualization dapat di bilang tidak terlihat sama sekali. Phenomenon of self-existence among University of Education Indonesia students from the perspective of Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, focusing on three out of the five needs: self-esteem, love and belongings, and self-actualization. The research was conducted using qualitative approach with purposive sampling technique, targeting active TikTok users who are current UPI students from 2019 to 2022. The study was conducted at the University of Education Indonesia, and data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. In terms of self-esteem, it was observed that some students exhibited a strong sense of self-existence, while others lacked any visible expression of self-existence, resulting in low self-esteem. From the perspective of love and belongings, it was not evident that UPI students had a strong sense of attachment or ownership towards their social media accounts Regarding self-actualization, it was not apparent that UPI Bumi Siliwangi students' self-existence was visible. From the perspective of self-esteem, their self-existence seemed noticeable, but from the perspective of love and belongings, their self-existence appeared less evident. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the self-existence of UPI Bumi Siliwangi students in terms of self-actualization is not visible at all.
