Abstract

Ayah memiliki peran yang cukup banyak dalam perkembangan anak sehingga, kehadiran ayah bagi anak sangat dibutuhkan. Masih terdapat ayah yang tidak melakukan perannya tersebut hingga menimbulkan kondisi fatherless. Fatherless adalah kondisi seseorang tidak mendapatkan kehadiran sosok ayah secara fisik atau psikologis. Fatherless dapat memberikan dampak yang buruk bagi anak. Salah satunya berdampak pada pendidikan anak. Dalam pendidikan seorang anak erat kaitannya dengan academic resilience atau kemampuan anak untuk tetap bertahan dan bangkit dalam menjalani bidang akademisnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh fatherless terhadap academic resilience anak sekolah dasar. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara. Kuesioner dibagikan kepada anak kelas tinggi yakni kelas IV, V dan VI karena memiliki karakteristik yang cocok dengan penelitian. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru kelas guna mendapatkan informasi lebih lanjut dari kondisi anak-anak di kelas. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh fatherless terhadap academic resilience pada anak sekolah dasar dengan besar pengaruh yakni sebesar 14.4%. Dukungan positif penting untuk diberikan kepada anak khususnya anak yang mengalami fatherless untuk meningkatkan academic resilience mereka. Orang tua, sekolah dan guru perlu bekerja sama untuk memberikan dukungan positif yang maksimal terhadap anak guna membentuk academic resilience yang baik pada anak. ------------- Fathers have quite a role in a child's development, so the presence of a father for children is very necessary. There are still fathers who do not carry out their role, causing fatherlessness. Fatherlessness is a condition where a person does not have the presence of a father figure physically or psychologically. Fatherlessness can have a bad impact on children. One of them has an impact on children's education. In a child's education, it is closely related to academic resilience or the child's ability to survive and rise in his academic field. This research aims to determine the effect of fatherlessness on the academic resilience of elementary school children. The research approach taken is a quantitative approach with correlational methods through distributing questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires were distributed to high class children, namely classes IV, V and VI because they had characteristics that matched the research. Interviews were conducted with class teachers to obtain further information about the condition of the children in the class. The results of this research are that there is an influence of fatherlessness on academic resilience in elementary school children with a large influence of 14.4%. Positive support is important to give to children, especially children who experience fatherlessness, to increase their academic resilience. Parents, schools and teachers need to work together to provide maximum positive support for children in order to form good academic resilience in children.
