Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paparikan sebelum menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together, (2) kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paparikan sesudah menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together, dan (3) perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis paparikan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kuasi eksperimen. Dengan menggunakan desain pretest and posttest group. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 siswa yang diambil dari satu kelas, yaitu kelas VIII I SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik tes. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes nulis paparikan. Dari hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) kemampuan menulis paparikan sebelum menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together hasilnya dengan skor rata-rata 65,13; (2) kemampuan menulis paparikan sesudah menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together hasilnya dengan skor rata-rata 76,33; dan (3) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis paparikan siswa kelas VIII I SMP Negeri 3 Lembang sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Numbered Heads Together berdasarkan hasil titung (8,05) > ttabél (2,45). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Dengan demikian, model Numbered Heads Together bisa meningkatkan kemampuan menulis paparikan siswa kelas VIII I SMP Negeri 3 Lembang taun ajaran 2013/2014. Kata Kunci: Numbered Heads Together, Menulis Paparikan The background of this research is the lack of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Lembang academic year 2013/2014 in writing paparikan. Therefore, by the Numbered Heads Together learning model, the students are expected to be able to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the significant difference between the ability of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 I Lembang in writing Paparikan before and after the treatment by using the Numbered Heads Together learning model. The method used was quasi- experimental study with pre-test and post-test group design. The technique used in this research was test. And the instrument used was a written test. The results of this study stated that : ( 1 ) the ability to write paparikan which was showed by the average score of the students before using the Numbered Heads Together learning model was 65,13 (2 ) the ability to write paparikan which was showed by the students score after using Numbered Heads Together learning model was 76,33 , and ( 3 ) the significant difference between the ability to write paparikan before and after using the Numbered Heads Together teaching model based on the t-test was ( 8,05 ) > t table ( 2,45 ) . It proves that the Numbered Heads Together learning model can improve the ability of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Lembang academic year 2013/2014 in writing paparikan.
