Abstract

PISA 2018 melaporkan kemampuan rata-rata literasi peserta didik di Indonesia berada pada level 1A dengan skor 371, artinya berada di bawah rata-rata skor yang ditetapkan OECD sebesar 487. Keterampilan literasi informasi diartikan sebagai suatu kemampuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi, kemampuan untuk mencari dan menggunakan informasi dengan efektif dan efisien, mengevaluasi, serta mengembangkan kembali informasi menjadi pengetahuan baru. Keterampilan ini perlu dimiliki oleh setiap individu guna membantu mereka dalam memanfaatkan informasi untuk mencapai segala tujuan yang ingin diraihnya. Keterampilan literasi informasi tidak hanya sebatas memperoleh informasi saja, melainkan melibatkan praktik dalam proses penggunaannya. Melihat kondisi ini, dapat dipahami bahwa guru masih perlu untuk terus mendorong dan menumbuhkan minat baca peserta didik agar mereka antusias untuk berliterasi dan tidak merasa terpaksa. Maka dari itu, diperlukan proses pembelajaran yang memungkinkan pengembangan keterampilan literasi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan literasi informasi guru SMP Negeri 12 Bandung dan bagaimana guru SMP Negeri 12 Bandung mengintegrasikan konsep literasi informasi pada proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru SMP Negeri 12 Bandung selaku informan penelitian. Adapun pemilihan informan ditentukan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling, khususnya jenis purposive sampling yang kemudian terjaring 4 orang guru yang akan dijadikan informan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan literasi informasi yang dimiliki oleh guru SMP Negeri 12 Bandung berada pada kategori advanced atau terampil dan sangat menunjang kompetensi profesionalnya sebagai seorang guru, khususnya dalam menjalankan kompetensi profesionalnya. Information literacy skills are defined as the ability to identify information needs, the ability to search and use information effectively and efficiently, evaluate and redevelop information into new knowledge. This skill needs to be possessed by every individual to help them utilize information to achieve all the goals they want to achieve. Information literacy skills are not just limited to obtaining information, but involve practice in the process of using it. Seeing this condition, it can be understood that teachers still need to continue to encourage and foster students' interest in reading so that they are enthusiastic about literacy and do not feel forced. Therefore, a learning process is needed that allows the development of information literacy skills. This research aims to determine the information literacy abilities of teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung and how teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung integrate the concept of information literacy in the learning process. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Participants in this research were teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung as research informants. The selection of informants was determined using non-probability sampling techniques, especially purposive sampling, which then selected 4 teachers who would be used as research informants. The results of the research show that the information literacy skills possessed by teachers at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung are in the advanced or skilled category and really support their professional competence as a teacher, especially in carrying out their professional competence.
