Abstract
ABSTRAK Raka Muhamad Firdaus (1907814). Pengembangan Video Promosi Perpustakaan SMPN 6 Kota Bogor Berbasis Youtube. Skripsi, Program Studi Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, 2023. Perpustakaan sebagai institusi pendidikan dan pengetahuan juga perlu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi. Dalam upaya menjawab tantangan zaman dan meningkatkan efektivitas penyampaian informasi kepada siswa, pendekatan inovatif perlu diterapkan, terutama dalam hal promosi dan pengenalan fasilitas perpustakaan sekolah. Dalam konteks ini, pemanfaatan media digital sebagai alat promosi semakin menjadi fokus, dan salah satu platform yang sangat relevan adalah YouTube. Selain itu pada saat ini masih banyak perpustakaan sekolah yang belum memilki media promosi perpustakaan yang efektif, salah satunya adalah Perpustakaan SMPN 6 Kota. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan video promosi perpustakaan berbasis youtube sebagai salah satu media promosi perpustakaan yang efektif. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini karena masih banyak siswa yang belum memahami secara menyeluruh tentang jenis koleksi, layanan, dan kegiatan yang ada di perpustakaan SMPN 6 Kota Bogor. Metode pada penelitian ini menggunakan Design & Development. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari satu ahli sistem media, dua ahli konten, dan lima puluh siswa SMPN 6 Kota bogor. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, yang mengacu pada skala likert. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa video dapat dijadikan media promosi perpustakaan yang ditinjau dari berbagai aspek yang dinilai oleh, ahli media,ahli konten, dan siswa. Libraries as educational and knowledge institutions also need to adapt to developments in information technology. In an effort to answer the challenges of the times and increase the effectiveness of conveying information to students, innovative approaches need to be implemented, especially in terms of promotion and introduction of school library facilities. In this context, the use of digital media as a promotional tool is increasingly becoming a focus, and one platform that is very relevant is YouTube. Apart from that, currently there are still many school libraries that do not have effective library promotion media, one of which is the SMPN 6 Kota Library. The aim of this research is to develop YouTube-based library promotional videos as an effective library promotional media. The reason for conducting this research is because there are still many students who do not fully understand the types of collections, services and activities in the library at SMPN 6 Kota Bogor. The method in this research uses Design & Development. The participants in this research consisted of one media systems expert, two content experts, and fifty students of SMPN 6 Bogor City. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire and the data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics, which refers to the Likert scale. The findings of this research show that videos can be used as a library promotional media in terms of various aspects assessed by media experts, content experts and students.
