Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Aspek-aspek afektif yang diduga berpengaruh, yaitu self-efficacy dan kecemasan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan koneksi matematis siswa ditinjau dari self-efficacy dan ditinjau dari kecemasan, serta mengetahui besar pengaruh self-efficacy dan kecemasan terhadap koneksi matematis baik secara parsial maupun simultan, khususnya pada materi pola bilangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif komparatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 182 siswa kelas VIII tahun ajaran 2023/2024 pada salah satu SMP di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan materi pola bilangan, dan instrumen non-tes berupa angket untuk mengukur self-efficacy dan kecemasan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara koneksi matematis siswa yang memiliki self-efficacy tinggi, sedang, dan rendah; (2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara koneksi matematis siswa yang memiliki kecemasan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah; (3) Self-efficacy memiliki pengaruh berkategori kecil terhadap koneksi matematis siswa, kecemasan memiliki pengaruh hubungan negatif berkategori sedang terhadap koneksi matematis siswa, serta interaksi self-efficacy dan kecemasan memiliki pengaruh berkategori kecil dan signifikan terhadap koneksi matematis siswa. Mathematical connection ability of Indonesia Middle School’ students are low. The affective aspects that influential are students' self-efficacy and anxiety. The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences in students’ mathematical connection in terms of self-efficacy and anxiety, also to determine the magnitude of the influence of self-efficacy and anxiety on mathematical connection. This research is quantitative with descriptive comparative methods. The research sample consisted of 182 eight grade students of 2023/2024 academic year at junior high school in Bandung City. The instrument was a test instrument for students' mathematical connection skills and non-test instruments in the form of differential semantic questionnaires to measure students' self-efficacy and anxiety in learning mathematics. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a significant difference between the mathematical connection of students who have high, medium and low self-efficacy; (2) There is a significant difference between the mathematical connection of students who have high, medium and low anxiety; (3) Self-efficacy has a small chategory effect on students' mathematical connection, anxiety has a negative medium chategory effect on students' mathematical connection, and the interaction of self-efficacy and anxiety has a small chategory effect and significant on students' mathematical connection.
