Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mencakup keterampilan identifikasi, analisis, dan penyelesaian masalah dengan menggunakan konsep matematika. Keterkaitannya dengan self-efficacy adalah bahwa tingkat keyakinan diri siswa terhadap kemampuannya dalam mengatasi tantangan matematis dapat memengaruhi performa dan ketekunan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa ditinjau dari tingkat self-efficacy pada materi program linear. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa kelas XII di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik tes dan teknik non-tes dengan menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket self-efficacy, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yang rendah. Ditinjau dari tingkat self-efficacy, sebanyak 26 siswa memiliki tingkat self-efficacy sedang. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pola hubungan antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan tingkat self-efficacy. Siswa yang menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis tinggi cenderung memiliki tingkat self-efficacy yang tinggi pula. Siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sedang menunjukkan variasi dalam tingkat self-efficacy. Siswa yang menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis rendah cenderung memiliki tingkat self-efficacy yang rendah. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang hubungan kompleks antara kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan self-efficacy siswa. Mathematical problem-solving abilities include identification, analysis, and problem-solving skills using mathematical concepts. The connection with self-efficacy is that the level of student efficacy in their ability to overcome mathematical challenges can influence student performance and persistence in solving problems. This research aims to analyze students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in terms of the level of self-efficacy for the topic of linear program. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this research were 33 class XII students at one of the State High Schools in Bandung Regency. Data collection techniques in this research are test techniques and non-test techniques using mathematical problem-solving ability test instruments, self-efficacy questionnaires, and interviews. The research results reveal that the majority of students have a low level of mathematical problem-solving ability. In terms of the level of self-efficacy, 26 students have a moderate level of self-efficacy. Researchers conclude that there is a pattern of relationship between mathematical problem-solving abilities and the level of self-efficacy. Students who demonstrate a high level of mathematical problem-solving ability tend to have a high level of self-efficacy as well. Students with moderate levels of mathematical problem-solving ability show variations in levels of self-efficacy. Students who demonstrate low levels of mathematical problem-solving ability tend to have low levels of self-efficacy. These findings provide deep insight into the complex relationship between mathematical problem-solving abilities and students' self-efficacy.
