Abstract

Untuk menjaga relevansi antara pendidikan dengan perubahan zaman, kurikulum harus terus-menerus dikembangkan dari waktu ke waktu. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebijakan kemendikbud ristek no. 5 dan no.7 Tahun 2022 yang mencantumkan kurikulum merdeka sebagai kurikulum baru yang secara resmi sah untuk diimplementasikan oleh lembaga pendidikan. Saat ini, Kurikulum Merdeka memasuki tahap akhir implementasi terbatas. Kendati demikian, imlementasi Kurikulum Merdeka masih menuai berbagai dukungan dan hambatan. Dengan dasar tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa terhadap Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Plus Assalaam Bandung, sebagai salah satu sekolah yang baru melaksanakan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik survey melalui instrumen berupa kuesioner tertutup. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Plus Assalam Bandung yang terbagi dalam empat kelas. Melalui teknik cluster random sampling, sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2. Hasil analisis data dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa skor persepsi siswa terhadap implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA Plus Assalaam Bandung masuk ke dalam kategori positif, walaupun masih lebih dekat dengan skor batas bawah. Hasil tersebut menggambarkan simpulan dari penelitian ini, yaitu esensi implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA Plus Assalaam Bandung dapat dirasakan oleh siswa dengan adanya persepsi positif terhadap aspek Merdeka Belajar, struktur Kurikulum Merdeka, dan pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. To maintain the relevance of education and the current era, the curriculum must be continuously developed. This research was motivated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology policy Number 5 and 7 year 2022 which list the Kurikulum Merdeka as newly legal curriculum to be implemented by educational institutions. Currently, the Merdeka Curriculum has entered the final phase of limited implementation. Nevertheless, the implementation itself still reaps various supports and obstacles. With the basis explained, this research aims to describe students’ perceptions about the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum. This research was carried out at High School Plus Assalaam Bandung, as one of the schools that has just implemented the Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The instrument used in this research was closed questionnaire collected using survey technique. The poplation in this research was 4 classes of Class X High School Plus Assalaam Bandung. Using the cluster random sampling techinique, the research sample consisted students in 2 classes. The results of data analysis show that students’ perception scores regarding the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum at High School Plus Assalaam Bandung are in positive category, although they are still closer to the lower limit score. These results illustrate that the essences Merdeka Curriculum implementation can be accepted by the students with the positive perception toward the Merdeka Belajar concept, the curriculum structure, and the Project for strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile.
