Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik yang melandasi keikutsertaan siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh SMP Negeri se-Kabupaten Ciamis yang berjumlah 80 sekolah yang terbagi ke dalam 6 komisariat. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 10% dari populasi yaitu 8 sekolah. Dalam pengambilan sampel penulis menggunakan teknik sample random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner dengan skala Likert 4 kategori. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan menggunakan metode persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa motivasi intrinsik mencapai 86.45% dan motivasi ekstrinsik mencapai 76.26%. Kesimpulan: (1.) Motivasi instrinsik lebih besar daripada motivasi ekstrinsik dengan persentase sebesar 86.45%. (2.) Motivasi ekstrinsik lebih kecil daripada motivasi intrinsik dengan persentase sebesar 76.26%. (3.) Indikator motivasi intrinsik yang melandasi keikutsertaan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli yaitu keinginan untuk memperoleh kebanggaan, keinginan untuk sehat, keinginan untuk memupuk kepercayaan diri, keinginan untuk berprestasi, keinginan untuk mengembangkan bakat, keinginan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan, untuk mendapatkan kepuasan diri dan untuk mengisi waktu luang. (4.) Indikator motivasi ekstrinsik yang melandasi keikutsertaan siswa dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli yaitu keinginan untuk mendapatkan penghargaan, keinginan untuk mendapatkan pujian, keinginan untuk mendapatkan dukungan dan keinginan untuk mendapatkan perhatian. The purpose of this study was to find out how much intrinsic and extrinsic motivation underlies student participation in volleyball extracurricular activities at State Junior High Schools in Ciamis Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all public junior high schools in Ciamis Regency, totaling 80 schools and divided into 6 commissariats. The sample taken was 10% of the population, namely 8 schools. In taking the sample the writer used a random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 4 categories. The collected data is processed using the percentage method. The research results showed that intrinsic motivation reached 86.45% and extrinsic motivation reached 76.26. Conclusion: (1.) Intrinsic motivation is greater than extrinsic motivation with a percentage of 86.45%. (2.) Extrinsic motivation is smaller than intrinsic motivation with a percentage of 76.26%. (3.) Intrinsic motivation indicators that underlie student participation in volleyball extracurricular activities are the desire to gain pride, the desire to be healthy, the desire to foster self-confidence, the desire to achieve, the desire to develop talents, the desire to improve skills, to gain self-satisfaction and to fill spare time. (4.) Extrinsic motivation indicators that underlie student participation in volleyball extracurricular activities are the desire to get awards, the desire to get praise, the desire to get support and the desire to get attention.
