    Abstract

    Skripsi ini membahas tentang penerapan metode Suggestopedia dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis terhadap siswa kelas XII IPA 2 semester I SMAN 6 Cimahi. Rumusan masalah yang dimunculkan yaitu bagaimana metode Suggestopedia digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis. Apakah siswa dapat menguasai materi dengan baik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis dengan metode Suggestopedia, dan bagaimana tanggapan peserta didik terhadap metode Suggestopedia dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan metode Suggestopedia dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis, mengetahui seberapa tinggi hasil penguasaan siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara dengan menggunakan metode Suggestopedia, serta memperoleh gambaran tentang tanggapan peserta didik terhadap penggunaan metode Suggestopedia dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian pre-experimental dengan one shot case study design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah keterampilan berbicara dari 20 siswa kelas XII IPA 2 semester I Tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai rata-rata tes keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis siswa sebesar 7,6. Nilai rata-rata tersebut kemudian diubah ke dalam bentuk nilai ubahan skala sepuluh menjadi 76% yang mempunyai arti bahwa nilai rata-rata tes keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis siswa terletak pada kelas interval 76% - 85%, sebagaimana dalam kelas interval tersebut nilai ubahan skala sepuluh menunjukan angka 8 yang berarti tes keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis siswa dapat dikatakan baik. Selain dari nilai rata-rata tes, pendapat positif siswa akan penggunaan metode Suggestopedia dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara juga terlihat pada angket yang menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa tertarik menggunakan metode ini (65%) karena mempermudah siswa untuk mendapatkan suasana yang menyenangkan (50%) dan membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan ide untuk berbicara (30%). Merujuk dari hasil penelitian di atas, peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa metode Suggestopedia dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Selain sebagai referensi untuk penelitian sejenis, metode ini juga dapat dijadikan alternatif bagi guru dalam pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara bahasa Perancis.

    Most of foreign language students had difficulties in acquiring the language in the class, as what happened in teaching and learning French in senior high school in Indonesia. Not only the students who had difficulties especially in learning French speaking skill, the teacher also had some in presenting the material. Many factors influenced teaching and learning process such as uncomfortable learning situation, lack of vocabularies, and lack of confidence to speak. While the teachers were supposed to be able to deliver the material by using the approach, the method, and the technique which were appropriate with students background in order to achieve the learning objective. Hence, this research was conducted by implementing Suggestopedia method in teaching speaking skill which was aimed at helping students to find an enjoyable learning situation, to increase their vocabulary mastery, and to motivate the students to speak French. This research used pre experimental method with the one shot case study design. Analysis of data referred to the guidance of CECRL which was combined with Nurgiyantoro who classified the reference of A1 assessment based on four criteria of speaking skill assessment, and the given questionnaire about teaching French speaking skill by using Suggestopedia. The result showed that the use of Suggestopedia method was effective to be implemented in teaching speaking French. The findings indicated that the students were enjoy, fun and motivated in learning speaking French, so that the method was able to encourage the students expanding their ideas and increasing their confidence to speak. Based on the calculation of the test result, the average score was 7.6 or 80%, when it was converted to the determination benchmark table by the calculation percentage in ten scales, the obtained score was 8 or it can be said well. While the findings from questionnaire indicated that the students were interested in using Suggestopedia method to build their confidence and to ease speaking French.
