Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah mengenai pelaksanaan program transisi pasca sekolah bagi anak tunagrahita. Penelitian ini menggambarkan tentang program transisi yang diberikan pada siswa tunagrahita untuk bekal setelah ia lulus dari bangku sekolah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena di SLB Negeri Subang telah mampu merealisasikan program transisi bagi siswa tunagrahita seperti program keterampilan dan magang di perusahaan, sehingga peneliti ingin meneliti tentang pelaksanaan program transisi pasca sekolah bagi anak tunagrahita. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Temuan yang didapatkan yaitu program yang dilaksanakan adalah keterampilan tata boga, tata rias dan magang. Perencanaan program dilakukan oleh guru-guru SMA dengan melibatkan siswa dan orang tua. Pedoman yang menjadi acuan yaitu kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan. Sekolah melaksanakan program magang bekerjasama dengan dunia usaha. Selain itu, sekolah juga melakukan kerjasama dengan kedinasan dan sekolah menengah kejuruan. Program magang dilakukan di kantin sekolah. Tahun ajaran ini belum bisa melaksanakan program magang yang dilakukan bersama mitra, karena kendala biaya. Ketercapaian siswa dalam program keterampilan dan magang dilihat dari kemampuan siswa melakukan keterampilan secara mandiri. Evaluasi dilakukan oleh guru keterampilan dengan dua cara yaitu tes tulis dan pengamatan kinerja. Hambatan yang dirasakan yaitu pedoman terbaru yang menjadi acuan belum ada, menentukan mitra yang cocok untuk melaksanakan program magang, biaya yang cukup besar untuk melaksanakan magang dengan mitra, emosi siswa yang tidak stabil, kondisi kelas yang tidak kondusif, ada beberapa peralatan yang tidak berfungsi. Upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam mengatasi permasalahan pelaksanaan program dapat ditangani dengan baik dan guru dapat memecahkan permasalahan tersebut dengan upaya yang dianggap tepat. Research conducted is about implementing post-school transition programs for children with intellectual disabilitiy. This research illustrates the transition program that is given to students with intellectual disabilitiy for provision after they graduate from school. This research was carried out because in SLB Subang State has been able to realize transition programs for students with intellectual disabilitiy such as skills programs and internships in companies, so researchers wanted to examine the implementation of post-school transition programs for students with intellectual disabilitiy. This research method is qualitative research. The findings obtained are the programs implemented are catering, cosmetology and apprenticeship skills. Program planning is carried out by high school teachers by involving students and parents. The guideline that becomes the reference is the education unit level curriculum. The school implements an internship program in collaboration with the industry. In addition, the school also cooperates with service offices and vocational high schools. The internship program is conducted in the school canteen. This year school has not been able to carry out an internship program conducted with partners, due to cost constraints. Student achievement in skills and internship programs is seen from the ability of students to do the skills independently. Evaluation is carried out by the skills teacher in two ways namely written tests and performance observations. Perceived barriers include the latest guidelines that are not yet used as references, determining suitable partners to carry out an apprenticeship program, significant costs to carry out internships with partners, unstable student emotions, non-conducive classroom conditions, some equipment that is not functioning. Efforts made by teachers in overcoming the problem of program implementation can be handled properly and teachers can solve these problems with efforts that are considered appropriate.
