Abstract

Kecerdasan spasial merupakan aspek penting dalam pembelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kegiatan pembelajaran geografi yang berorientasi pada kecerdasan spasial dengan bantuan media digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tingkat kecerdasan spasial peserta didik dan mengukur seberapa besar pengaruh media google my maps terhadap kecerdasan spasial. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan desain non-equivalent control group dan menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kelas yang berperan sebagai sampel adalah XI-IPS 4 selaku kelompok eksperimen dan XI-IPS 1 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Kecerdasan spasial diukur berdasarkan indikator persepsi spasial, visualisasi spasial, orientasi spasial dan relasi spasial dengan perbedaan perlakuan antara peta digital dan peta manual. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian terbagi atas analisis butir soal serta analisis data berupa uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, paired sample T test, uji n gain score dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Setelah diberikannya perlakuan, rataan nilai spasial kelas eksperimen adalah 88,14 sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 79,29. Berdasarkan analisis hipotesis dengan metode paired sample t test, nilai sig 2-tailed (0,000) < 0,05. Hasil uji n gain pun menunjukkan bahwa skor penggunaan google my maps adalah 76% sehingga dapat dinyatakan efektif dengan skala efektivitas tinggi. Analisis regresi linear menginterpretasikan besaran pengaruh media google my maps terhadap kecerdasan spasial adalah 47,5%. Dari pemaparan tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media google my maps berpengaruh terhadap kecerdasan spasial peserta didik kelas XI-IPS di SMAN 1 Cisarua. Spatial intelligence is an important aspect in geography learning. This research is motivated by the lack of geography learning activities that are oriented towards spatial intelligence with digital media. This research intend to analyze the spatial intelligence level of students and to measure how much impact google my maps media has on spatial intelligence. The method used a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design and applied quantitative approach. Class that role of the samples is class XI-IPS 4 as the experimental group and XI-IPS 1 as the control group. Spatial intelligence is measured based on indicators of spatial perception, spatial visualization, spatial orientation and spatial relations with different treatments between digital maps and manual maps. The data analysis technique used in the research is consist into question analysis and data analysis include of normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test and n gain score test. After treatment, the average spatial value of experimental class is 88.14, whereas the control class is 79.29. Based on the hypothesis analysis using paired sample t test method, the value of significance 2-tailed (0,000) > 0,05. The results of n gain test also show that the score for using google my maps is 76% so that it can be declared effective with a high effectiveness scale. Linear regression analysis means the impact of google my maps media on spatial intelligence is 47,5%. So that can be concluded that the google my maps has an effect on the spatial intelligence of students in class XI-IPS at SMAN 1 Cisarua.
