Abstract

High participant participation in the program can be observed through the active engagement of participants and their attendance. Determining the extent of participant participation involves assessing the relevance of participants' needs to the existing program. This study aims to establish the correlation between participants' needs and the program, starting with the identification of their needs, the formulation of materials, and the learning process. The research employs qualitative methods, including interviews, observations, and documentation. Triangulation, a combination of data collection methods, is used to ensure data validity. The study's findings can be summarized as follows: 1) The process of identifying learning strategies to enhance the relevance of participants' needs in the golden age pesantren program involves interviews to understand participant motivations, written tests to assess comprehension of religious materials, and practical tests to evaluate Qur'an recitation. 2) The results of the needs identification process serve as the foundation for program formulation, particularly the Al-Qur'an reading program, which is categorized into several groups: ihsan group, pre-tahsin 1, pre-tahsin 2, and tahsin. 3) The learning process in the Pesantren Masa Keemasan training program accommodates participants' conditions, abilities, material requirements, and learning readiness.
