Abstract

This study aims to find out the profile physical fitness level of elementary school student with high screen time characteristics. This study is a descriptive research, and the research design used is a survey. The research instruments used in this study are the Physical Fitness Test for Indonesian Children (TKJI) and the Adolescent Sedentary Activity Questionnaire (ASAQ). The population of this study consisted of fifth-grade students from SD Negeri in, Bandung City, with a total of 66 students. The sampling technique employed in this study was purposive sampling, selecting respondents with high levels of screen time activity. The results showed that the overall screen time level of the students was in the high category, thus all students were included as samples. Descriptive statistical analysis techniques were used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the physical fitness level of students with high screen time characteristics was categorized as inadequate, with the following percentages: 0% in the excellent category, 4.5% in the good category, 21.2% in the moderate category, 60.6% in the inadequate category, and 13.6% in the very inadequate category.
