Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh ketertarikan terhadap novel yang diangkat dari kisah nyata, rangkaian fenomena pada novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel mempunyai hubungan kausalitas dan multitafsir dari perspektif khalayak sehingga novel ini representatif sebagai objek analisis teks media (semiotika). Novel sebagai karya sastra berupa teks yang ditulis dengan gaya bahasa dan imajinasi pengarang, sehingga terkadang masih banyak penikmat karya sastra atau peserta didik sekalipun yang cenderung kesulitan menafsirkan makna yang hendak disampaikan pengarang dalam karyanya.Berdasarkan kompetensi dasar yang hendak di capai peserta didik dalam pembelajaran novel di SMA salah satunya yaitu pada KD 3.9 Menganalisis isi dan kebahasaan novel.Adanya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan unsur semiotik yang ada pada novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel, serta memanfaatkan hasil analisis sebagai rancangan bahan ajar pembelajaran novel di SMA. Selain dapat menjadi alternatif pembelajaran alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini karena belum ditemukan penelitian dengan objek serupa menjadikannya sebagai bahan ajar novel.Adapun peneltian sebelumnya meneliti novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel, tetapi dengan pisau analisis yang berbeda. Pada penelitian ini novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel dianalisis dengan metode kualitatif, menggunakan pisau analisis semiotika Charles Sander Pierce, meliputi ikon, indeks dan simbol. Adapun untuk mengupas unsur pembangun novel dengan pisau analisis Stanton meliputi fakta-fakta cerita, tema, dan sarana-sarana cerita. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan 18 data yang menunjukkan ikon, 13 data menunjukkan indeks, dan 42 data menunjukkan simbol. This research is based on an interest in novels that are based on true stories, a series of phenomena in the novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel has a causal relationship and multiple interpretations from the perspective of the audience so that this novel is representative as an object of media text analysis (semiotics). Novels as literary works are texts written in the style of language and imagination of the author, therefore sometimes there are still many connoisseurs of literary works or even students who tend to have difficulty interpreting the meaning that the author wants to convey in his work. Based on the basic competencies that students want to achieve in learning novels in high school, one of them is KD 3.9 Analyze the content and language of novels. The existence of this research aims to find semiotic elements in the novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel, and utilize the results of the analysis as a teaching material design for learning novels in high school. In addition to being an alternative to learning, the reason for doing this research is because no research has been found with a similar object to make it a novel teaching material. The previous research examined the novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel, but with a different analysis knife. In this study, the novel Merindu Cahaya de Amstel is analyzed with a qualitative method, using Charles Sander Pierce's semiotic analysis knife, including icons, indices and symbols. Meanwhile, to explore the building blocks of the novel with Stanton's analytical knife, including the facts Stanton's analysis of the novel's building blocks includes the facts of the story, the theme, and the means of the story. Based on this research, 18 data showed icons, 13 data showed indexes, and 42 data showed symbols.
