Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh penggunaan metode mind mapping dalam keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi di kelas V. Dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi di SD Negeri 3 Sindangsari masih jarang menggunakan metode pembelajaran termasuk salah satunya yakni metode mind mapping. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, peneliti memiliki alternatif pada siswa SD kelas V khususnya pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan materi menulis teks eksplanasi. Peneliti tertarik menggunakan metode pembelajaran mind mapping, untuk membantu dan mengetahui hasil belajar pada materi menulis teks eksplanasi. Hasil tersebut diselaraskan dengan tuntutan kompetensi dasar pada kurikulum mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD. Kompetensi dasar keterampilan menulis berdasarkan kurikulum yakni 4.3. Menyajikan ringkasan teks klarifikasi (eksplanasi) dari media cetak atau elektronik dengan memakai kosakata baku dan kalimat efektif secara lisan, tulis, dan visual. Diselaraskan dengan hal tersebut, akan dilaksanakan penelitian untuk melihat dan mendapatkan hasil pembelajaran dengan melalui metode mind mapping dalam menulis teks eksplanasi. Sehingga peneliti akan menggunakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang berpeluang efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi yakni metode mind mapping. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, peneliti memfokuskan penelitian pada hasil penggunaan metode pembelajaran mind mapping dalam keterampilan menulis teks eksplanasi di Sekolah Dasar. The research is the use of the mind mapping method in writing skills explanation texts in grade V. In learning to write explanation texts at SD Negeri 3 Sindangsari they rarely use learning methods including one of them, namely the mind mapping method. Based on these problems, the researcher has an alternative for fifth grade elementary school students, especially in Indonesian language lessons with material for writing explanation texts. Researchers are interested in using the mind mapping learning method, to help and find out learning outcomes in the material of writing explanatory texts. These results are aligned with the demands for basic competencies in the Indonesian language curriculum in elementary schools. The basic competence of writing skills based on the curriculum is 4.3. Presenting summaries of clarification texts (explanations) from print or electronic media using standard vocabulary and effective sentences orally, in writing, and visually. Aligned with this, research will be carried out to see and obtain learning outcomes through the mind mapping method in writing explanatory texts. So that researchers will use one of the learning methods that has the potential to be effectively used in learning explanatory text writing skills, namely the mind mapping method. In line with this, the researchers focused their research on the results of using the mind mapping learning method in writing explanation text skills in elementary schools.
