Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya kebijakan sekolah Adiwiyata untuk dapat mewujudkan generasi peduli lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengeksplorasi mekanisme ekstrakurikuler Labschool-UPI Green Community, mengeksplorasi dampak program ekstrakurikuler Labschool-UPI Green Community dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan ranah kognitif, afektif, dan konatif, dan mengeksplorasi kendala yang ditempuh pada mekanisme ekstrakurikuler Labschool-UPI Green Community di sekolah Adiwiyata, SD Laboratorium UPI Cibiru. Adapun metode penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme ekstrakurikuler Labschool-UPI Green Community (LGC) belum ditempuh secara sistematis, dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi. Dampak ekstrakurikuler LGC terhadap tiga ranah karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik secara keseluruhan mencapai kriteria tinggi. Ditinjau berdasarkan lamanya mengikuti ekstrakurikuler, teridentifikasi bahwa semakin lama mengikuti ekstrakurikuler LGC, semakin meningkat pula karakter peduli lingkungannya. Namun, pada ranah konatif selama 6-12 bulan mengalami penurunan sedikit dari lamanya mengikuti ekstrakurikuler selama 3-6 bulan sebelumnya. Hal tersebut dikarenakan kurangnya tantangan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan interaksi sosial peserta didik. Dengan begitu, mekanisme LGC teridentifikasi mengalami kendala dalam menempuh mekanisme ekstrakurikuler, yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta penilaian dan evaluasi. ----- This research is motivated by the Adiwiyata school policy to be able to realize a generation of environmental care. The purpose of this study is to explore the extracurricular mechanism of Labschool-UPI Green Community, explore the impact of Labschool-UPI Green Community extracurricular programs in shaping the character of environmental care in cognitive, affective, and conative domains, and explore the constraints taken on the extracurricular mechanism of Labschool-UPI Green Community at Adiwiyata school, SD UPI Cibiru Laboratory. This research method applies a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results of this study show that the extracurricular mechanism of Labschool-UPI Green Community (LGC) has not been taken systematically from planning, implementation, to evaluation. The impact of LGC extracurricular on the formation of environmentally caring character based on environmental care characters in the cognitive, affective and conative achieve high criteria. While the impact of LGC extracurriculars is based on the length of time they participate in extracurriculars, it is identified that the longer they participate in LGC extracurriculars, the more environmentally caring characters increase. However, in the conative realm for 6-12 months experienced a slight decrease from the length of extracurricular participation during the previous 3-6 months. This is due to the lack of challenges in extracurricular activities and social interaction of students. Thus, LGC mechanisms are identified as experiencing obstacles in carrying out extracurricular mechanisms, which include planning, implementation, and assessment and evaluation.
