Abstract

This research was conducted at the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi. This study aimed to get a picture of the effect on the level of sales promotion at the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi. Issues that were examined in this study is how the picture of promotional activities that have been conducted by the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu, how is the amount of sales at the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu, how is the effect on the level of sales promotion at the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu. The population is taken to determine the value of X and Y variables in analyzing the relationship of sales promotions is the number of rooms promotional expenditures (X) no room sales (Y) per month for five years back, starting in 2005 until the year 2009 and to determine the number of populations in the spread of questionnaire that will be used to obtain profile of visitors and visitor perceptions of promotional activity in this study will be determined based on - average number of annual room occupancy during the last five years, from the years 2005 - 2009 amounted to 31 227 people, so the number of population to research as many as 6245 people. To get a sample in analyzing the relationship of sales promotion room, then the total sample were determined based on the average number of rooms and sales promotion expenditures annually for five years or N = 5 and sample for the deployment questionnaire in this study amounted to 98 people with a method based on a formula slovin The sampling used simple random sampling. Collecting data by way of documentation and dissemination of study questionnaire. The instrument used to find the effect of sales promotion is the bedroom and sales promotion costs, the document room with the data analysis used was simple linear regression analysis. From the data analysis known that koefien correlation between variables X (promotion) to variable Y (the level of room sales) is in a very strong category. Regression coefficient between X variable (promotion) and Y variable (the level of room sales) if the hypothesis is confirmed by the rejection criteria, show that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. From the results showed that the assessment penelititan positive effect on the level of promotional sales at the Hotel Augusta Palabuhanratu. Broadly speaking promotions have a significant influence on the level of room sales, which means high or low level of sales promotions is influenced by room, with a very strong degree of correlation between the level of sales promotion room.
