Abstract

Karies gigi merupakan penyakit kesehatan gigi yang paling banyak terjadi pada anak. Terjadinya karies dapat menyebabkan rasa sakit, ganguan pengunyahan dan dapat menggaanggu kesehatan tubuh lainya pada anak. Sebaiknya penyamapian edukasi terjkait karies gigi dilakukan sedini mungkin. Anak usai 5-6 tahun dapat di golongkan sebagai masa golden age, karena pada umur tersebut anak sedang memiliki rasa ingin tau yang tinggi. Peran orang tua dalam penyampaian edukasi mengenai karies gigi sangat penting dilakukan. Penggunaan media edukasi yang tepat dalam penyampaianya informasi untuk anak perlu diperhatikan. Penggunaan media yang menarik dapat menumbuhkan motivasi dan rasa penasaran pada anak. Animasi merupakan suatu media edukasi yang menarik untuk anak. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu practice-led research dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dekriptif. Tahapan pada metode ini terbagi menjadi 5 tahap persiapan, tahapm mengimajinasikan, tahap pengembangan imajinasi, tahap pengerjaan dan hasil karya. Hasil dari penelitian berupa video animasi 2D edukasi karies gigi. Validasi ahli materi mendapatkan penilaian 95% yang berarti video animasi masuk kedalam kategori sangat layak. Distribusi yang dilakukan menggunakan situs youtube dan telah mendapatkan 416 views, 138 likes dengan apresiasi 60 commentar positif dan respon anak berupa angket dengan hasil 97% yang artinya mednapatkaan kategori sangat baik. Perancangan video animasi edukasi karies gigi untuk anak diharapkan dapat menambah pengetahuan anak prasekolah ----------- Dental caries is the most common dental health disease in children. The occurrence of caries can cause pain, chewing disorders and can disrupt other physical health in children. recommends providing education regarding dental caries as early as possible. Children aged 5-6 years can be classified as the golden age, because at that age children have a high curiosity. The role of parents in education about dental caries is very important. The use of appropriate educational media in conveying information to children needs to be considered. The use of interesting media can foster motivation and curiosity in children. Animation is an interesting educational medium for children. The method used in this research is practice-based research using a descriptive quantitative approach. The stages in this method are divided into 5 stages of preparation, the stage of imagining, the stage of developing imagination, the stage of work and the work. The results of the research are in the form of 2D animated dental caries educational videos. Material expert validation gets a 95% rating, which means that the animated video is in the very feasible category. The distribution was carried out using the YouTube site and has received 416 views, 138 likes with an appreciation of 60 positive comments and the child's response is in the form of a questionnaire with a result of 97%, which means that the category is very good. The role of animated dental caries educational videos for children is expected to increase the knowledge of preschoolers
