Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian yang dilakukan didasarkan oleh latar belakang rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa di kelas XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Lembang. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut, peneliti memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran yaitu media history timeline digital. Kemampuan berpikir kronologis menjadi salah satu tahapan dari penguasaan kemampuan berpikir kesejarahan. Dimana kemampuan berpikir kronologis menjadi begitu penting karena merupakan tahap awal dalam kemampuan berpikir ksejarahan. Dengan begitu, pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan desain Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang pada pelaksanaanya meliputi empat langkah yaitu; perencanaan (Plan); pelaksanaan (Act); pengamatan (Observing); dan refleksi (reflection). Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Lembang sebanyak VI siklus. Adapun untuk meliat peningatan kemamuan berpikir kronologis ini dilakukan melalui indikator yang peneliti susun yaitu; 1) kemampuan mengidentifikasi waktu; 2) Menganalisis keruntutan peristiwa; 3) Mengintrepreatsikan atau menjelaskan keruntutan peristiwa dan ; 4) menjelaskan konsep kesinambungan dan perubahan sejarah. Pada praktiknyadi kelas XI IPS 4 ini hasil dari indikator pertama dan kedua menjadi indikator yang paling mudah mengalami peningkatan dalam VI siklus penelitian. Sementara pada indikator ketiga dan keempat capaan skor baru terlihat cukup baik di dua siklus terakhir. Secara keseluruhan dari siklus I- VI penelitian hasil yang didapatkan meningkat. Hanya saja terjadi penurunan di siklus III. Namun penurunan angka di siklus III dapat diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan di tiga siklus terakhir. Sehingga dapat dikatakan penggunaan media history timeline digital dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kronologis siswa kelas XI IPS 4. ABSTRACT The research conducted was based on the background of the low chronological thinking ability of students in class XI IPS 4 SMA Negeri 2 Lembang. Given these problems, the researcher aims to improve students' chronological thinking skills in learning history by using learning media, namely digital history timeline media. The ability to think chronologically is one of the stages of mastering the ability to think historically. Where the ability to think chronologically is very important because it is the initial stage in the ability to think historically. That way, in this study, researchers used the classroom action research (PTK) method with the Kemmis and Mc Taggart designs which in its implementation included four steps namely; planning (Plan); implementation (Act); observation (Observing); and reflection. This research was conducted in class XI IPS 4 of SMA Negeri 2 Lembang for VI cycles. Meanwhile, to see the improvement in the ability to think chronologically, this is done through indicators that researchers have compiled, namely; 1) ability to identify time; 2) Analyze the sequence of events; 3) Interpret or explain the sequence of events and; 4) explain the concepts of historical continuity and change. In practice, in class XI IPS 4, the results of the first and second indicators are the indicators that are the easiest to experience an increase in the VI of the research cycle. Meanwhile, in the third and fourth indicators, the new score achievement looks quite good in the last two cycles. Overall, from cycles I-VI of the research, the results obtained increased. It's just that there was a decline in cycle III. However, the decline in numbers in cycle III can be corrected and increased in the last three cycles. So it can be said that the use of digital history timeline media can improve the chronological thinking abilities of class XI IPS 4 students.
