Abstract

A. This research is motivated by the low personal safety skills of students because the learning design on how to protect themselves from sexual violence has not been developed. This study aims to develop teaching modules to improve personal safety skills in phase A students. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D) with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research instruments used were tests and questionnaires. Researchers used a Likert scale with qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were phase A students of class I elementary school. This teaching module design consists of general information, core, and attachment components. The design results were developed using MediBang Paint and Microsoft PowerPoint applications and tested for feasibility with the acquisition of 99.5% by material experts and 99% by learning experts. The overall average of the feasibility test is 99.25% with the category very feasible to use. After the implementation of the teaching module trial to class I Elementary School, it was obtained that students' personal safety skills had increased with the results of the average pre-test score of 38.1 in the poor category and the average post-test score of 80 in the very good category. The conclusion of this study is that this teaching module can improve personal safety skills in phase A students.
