Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kurangnya media pembelajaran dan dampak globalisasi terhadap pendidikan karakter cinta tanah air dan critical literacy pada anak usia 5-6 tahun yang menyebabkan krisis moral dan kurangnya Pemahaman generasi muda terhadap warisan budaya Indonesia salah satunya yaitu permainan tradisional congklak. Dalam konteks ini, peneliti mengembangkan shadow play book sebagai media pembelajaran dengan tema permainan tradisional congklak yang terinspirasi dari pementasan wayang, untuk menstimulasi pendidikan karakter cinta tanah air dan critical literacy pada anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah Educational Design Research dengan model Plomp. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket validasi ahli, respon guru, observasi anak, studi dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Validasi ahli memperoleh kualifikasi sangat layak. Dan uji coba langsung pada 15 anak menunjukkan respons positif. Shadow play book yang dikembangkan berisi cerita bergambar dengan konsep interaktif proyeksi bayangan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media ini layak digunakan untuk menstimulasi pendidikan karakter cinta tanah air dan critical literacy anak usia 5-6 tahun, serta dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan perhatian anak. ----- This research aims to address the lack of learning media and the impact of globalization on character education, specifically fostering love for one's homeland and critical literacy, in children aged 5-6 years. These issues have contributed to a moral crisis and a lack of understanding among the younger generation regarding Indonesia's cultural heritage, including traditional games like congklak. In this context, the researcher developed a shadow play book as a learning media with the theme of the traditional game congklak, inspired by wayang performances, to stimulate character education and critical literacy in children. The method used was Educational Design Research with the Plomp model. Data were collected through expert validation questionnaires, teacher responses, child observations, document studies, and interviews. Expert validation resulted in a qualification of "highly suitable," and direct testing on 15 children showed positive responses. The developed shadow play book contains illustrated stories with an interactive shadow projection concept. Therefore, it can be concluded that this media is suitable for stimulating character education, fostering love for one's homeland, and promoting critical literacy in children aged 5-6 years. Additionally, it can enhance children's interest in learning and their attention span.
