Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dari disiplin kerja, gambaran dari kinerja pegawai dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di Bidang Sekretariat Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai di Bidang Sekretariat Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat sebanyak 63 orang dengan sampel 63 orang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kecenderungan umum dengan menggunakan teknik Weight Means Score (WMS), variabel disiplin kerja memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 4,46 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik dan variabel kinerja pegawai memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 4,42 yang termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa hubungan kedua variabel termasuk pada kategori korelasi kuat, dengan hasil disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif sebesar 46,2% terhadap kinerja pegawai dan sisanya 54,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Selanjutnya ditunjukan dengan nilai signifikasi sebesar 0,00 < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan secara positif dari disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di Bidang Sekretariat Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the description of work discipline, the description of employee performance and to determine the effect of work discipline on employee performance in the Secretariat of the Office of Education of West Java Province. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all employees in the West Java Province Education Office Secretariat, totaling 63 people with a sample of 63 people. Based on the results of calculating general trends using the Weight Means Score (WMS) technique, the work discipline variable obtained an average value of 4.46 which was included in the very good category and the employee performance variable obtained an average value of 4.42 which was included in the very good category. in very good category. The results of hypothesis testing show that the relationship between the two variables is included in the strong correlation category, with the results of work discipline having a positive effect of 46.2% on employee performance and the remaining 54.8% is influenced by other factors. Furthermore, it is indicated by a significance value of 0.00 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a positive significant influence of work discipline on employee performance in the Secretariat Sector of the Education Office of West Java Province.
