Abstract

Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah pada permasalahan rendahnya efektivitas pengelolaan arsip di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penanganan masalah ini sangat penting karena jika dibiarkan, dapat menghambat proses penyediaan informasi bagi instansi tersebut. Salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan arsip adalah kompetensi para pegawai. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memverifikasi pengaruh kompetensi para pegawai terhadap efektivitas pengelolaan arsip di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu verifikatif Explanatory Survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket dengan ukuran sampel 30 pegawai kearsipan di Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat yang mengelola arsip. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis diperoleh kesimpulan yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh sebesar 54,8% yang mana terdapat pengaruh antara variabel X dan Y sementara sisa 45,2% faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh peneliti. Dengan demikian efektivitas dalam pengelolaan arsip dapat ditingkatkan melalui kompetensi pegawai. The focus of this research is on addressing the issue of the low effectiveness of archive management at the Provincial Education Office of West Java. Dealing with this problem is highly important as, if left unattended, it can hinder the information provisioning process for the institution. One of the contributing factors to enhancing the effectiveness of archive management is the competence of the employees. The objective of this study is to verify the influence of employee competence on the effectiveness of archive management at the Provincial Education Office of West Java, both directly and indirectly. The research method used is a verificative Explanatory Survey with a quantitative approach. Research data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to a sample size of 30 archive employees at the Provincial Education Office of West Java who are involved in managing archives. The data analysis technique employs simple regression analysis. The results of the data analysis and hypothesis testing lead to a conclusion indicating an influence of 54.8%, indicating a relationship between variables X and Y, while the remaining 45.2% is attributed to other factors not examined by the researcher. Thus, it can be inferred that the effectiveness of archive management can be enhanced through employee competence.
