Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan model project based learning pada mata pelajaraan front office, pengaruh model pembelajaraan project based learning terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, dan perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa antara model project based learning dan model konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI jurusan akomodasi perhotelan di SMK Negeri 3 Cimahi. Masalah dalam penelitian ini berfokus pada model pembelajaraan yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaraan terkait dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Dalam penelitian ini akan dipaparkan kondisi penerapan model pembelajaraan project based learning terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaraan front office. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah Pre-test-Post-test with Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan menggunakan dua kelompok sampel, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dengan model project based learning dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan pembelajaraan konvensional. Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan instrument angket. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa berdasarkan hasil lembar keterangan keberlangsungan sintaks dapat disimpulkan pelaksanaan model project based learning telah terlaksana dengan baik. Kemudian, Hasil uji t menggunakan paired sample t-test kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.00 < 0.05 sehingga H1 diterima dan terdapat kenaikan score pada uji n-gain di kelas eksperimen. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh model project based learning terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaraan front office sebesar 41%. Selanjutnya, dari hasil nilai rata-rata pre-test post-test sebesar -0.2361 atau -24% untuk kelas kontrol dan nilai rata-rata 0.4082 atau 41% untuk kelas eksperimen. Maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan model project based learning dan kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional. This research was conducted in class XI majoring in hotel accommodation at SMK Negeri 3 Cimahi. The problem in this study focuses on the learning model used by the teacher in learning related to student learning motivation. In this study, the conditions for applying the project-based learning model to student learning motivation in front office subjects will be described. The research method used is quasi-experimental. The design used was Pre-test-Post-test with Nonequivalent Control Group Design using two sample groups, namely the experimental group with a project based learning model and the control group using conventional learning. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire instrument. The results in this study show that based on the results of the syntax continuity statement sheet, it can be concluded that the implementation of the project based learning model has been carried out well. Then, the results of the t test using the paired sample t-test for the experimental class obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.00 <0.05 so that H1 is accepted and there is an increase in the score on the n-gain test in the experimental class. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the project based learning model on student learning motivation in front office subjects by 41%. Furthermore, from the results of the pre-test post-test average value of -0.2361 or -24% for the control class and the average value of 0.4082 or 41% for the experimental class. So it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning motivation in the experimental class with the project based learning model and the control class with the conventional model.
