    Abstract

    Trigonometri merupakan salah satu topik penting dalam matematika. Namun, siswa masih mengalami hambatan dan kesulitan ketika mempelajari serta menyelesaikan permasalahan terkait trigonometri. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi hal tersebut ialah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran. Penggunaan visual novel sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran matematika efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep yang sedang dipelajari Akan tetapi, media pembelajaran matematika berupa visual novel pada topik trigonometri masih belum tersedia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan prosedur pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis visual novel pada topik trigonometri. Lalu, untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap visual novel yang telah dikembangkan dan pencapaian pemahaman konsep siswa pada topik trigonometri setelah menggunakan visual novel tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development dengan model ADDIE. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah seorang guru matematika dan siswa kelas X sebanyak satu kelas di salah satu SMA Negeri Bandung. Media visual novel dibuat menggunakan perangkat lunak Visual Novel Maker. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon siswa terhadap media visual novel yang telah dikembangkan sangatlah baik. Akan tetapi pencapaian pemahaman konsep siswa setelah menggunakan media tersebut tergolong rendah.

    Trigonometry is one of the important topics in mathematics. However, students still experience obstacles and difficulties when learning and solving problems related to trigonometry. One way that can be used to overcome this is by using learning media. The use of visual novels as supporting media for learning mathematics is effective in helping students understand the concepts being studied. However, mathematics learning media in the form of visual novels on the topic of trigonometry is still not available. The purpose of this study is to describe the procedure for developing visual novel-based mathematics learning media on the topic of trigonometry. Then, to find out the student's response to the visual novel that has been developed and the achievement of students' conceptual understanding of the topic of trigonometry after using the visual novel. The research method used is Research and Development with the ADDIE model. The participants in this study were a mathematics teacher and one grade X class student at one of the Bandung State Senior High Schools. Visual novel media was created using the Visual Novel Maker software. The results showed that the student's response to the visual novel media that had been developed was very good. However, the achievement of students' conceptual understanding after using the media is relatively low.
