Abstract

Menulis naskah drama termasuk pembelajaran yang terdapat pada jenjang SMP. Pembelajaran ini termasuk penting karena siswa dapat mengembangkan tingkat kreativitasnya jika kemampuan menulis naskah drama terus diasah. Mengacu pada kondisi di lapangan para siswa kerap kesulitan dalam mengembangkan tema dan dialog. Ada banyak metode dan media pembelajaran yang dapat diuji cobakan pada siswa, salah satunya metode four square berbantuan media sosial televisi instagram (IGTV). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh bukti perbedaan kemampuan menulis naskah drama sebelum dan setelah diterapkan metode four square berbantuan media sosial televisi instagram (IGTV) pada kelas eksperimen dan metode terlangsung pada kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII J dan VIII K dari SMPN 2 Majalengka. Instumen yang digunakan terdiri atas instrumen tes dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang telah dilakukan ditemukan bahwa tes awal dan tes akhir kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) yang kurang dari 0.05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis naskah drama sebelum dan setelah diterapkan metode four square berbantuan media sosial televisi instagram (IGTV) pada kelas eksperimen dan metode terlangsung pada kelas kontrol. Perbedaan yang paling jelas antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terlihat dari ide yang dikembangkan siswa kelas eksperimen lebih terarah dan kosakata yang digunakan pun beragam setelah diterapkan metode four square berbantuan media sosial televisi instagram (IGTV). Drama sript writing includes learning at the Junior High School level. This learning is important because students can develop their level of creativity if the ability to drama script writing is continuosly honed. Referring to the conditions in the field, student often find in difficult to develop themes and dialogues. There are many methods and learning media that can be tested on students, one of them is the four square methods assisted by social media Instagram television (IGTV). The purpose of the study was to obtain evidence of differences in the ability to drama script writing before and after the application of the four square methods assisted by social media instagram television (IGTV) in the experimental class and the direct method in the control class. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The data collection technique in this study used purpose sampling. The sample in this study were students of class VIII J and VIII K from SMPN 2 Majalengka. The instruments used consist of test instruments and observation sheets. Based on the hypothesis test, it was found that the pretest and posttest of the experimental class and control class showed sig. (2-tailed) is less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that there are differences in the ability to drama script writing before and after the application of the four square methods assisted by social media instagram television (IGTV) in the experimental class and the direct method in the control class. The most obvious difference between the experimental class and the direct control class can be seen from the ideas developed by the experimental class students who were more focused and the vocabulary used was varied after the four square methods were applied with the help of social media instagram television (IGTV).
